The rooms were clean, I had a room with no ensuite but it was not far away and it was not a shared bathroom. Great views from my room and very clean. Only 5 mins to town which was very handy. Great breakfast and the owners were lovely. Offered to wash our clothes and dry, it came in very handy. Would recommend this B & B.

We stayed at this B&B for the second time! We stayed there last September! The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is good, you can choose from several things and if you would like something what is not on the breakfastlist, they will try to provide it! Ann & Jim are very kind. Jim has lots of good ideas and both are prepared to help you out. They really do a lot to satisfy you! Jim tried even to talk Dutch, hahaha! It was big fun to stay here! Ann & Jim, thanks for having us again and many greetings from my mum. She was really happy with your Dutch lettre and we stayed awake, hahaha!

Kind regards

Hans & Ingrid (& mum)

Had a lovely stay at Gowan Brae; we were walking the West Highland way and could not wait to get back to the warmth of the B+B after a very long and rainy walk. On arrival we were given homemade soup and scones..heaven after the trek! Our stay was so welcoming and the breakfast delicious.

Our room was good with free wi-fi and a nice bathroom everyhting was spotless. There are plenty of books and antiques to keep you occupied and as we were based near the centre so nothing is to far away. One tip - make your way up Glen Nevis.

Definitely be back, such a homely feel in comparison to that of a hotel, beautiful house and well worth it, nothing was too much trouble for the owners.

Room Tip: We had the double room at the front of the house with beautiful view of the loch

A warm welcome by the owner, who provided black dustbin liners and newspapers for our wet boots. I understand that this is the third generation of the Smith family to own the property and run it as a B&B, unfortunately this shows in the decor, which is very tired. Our room was fine, with an eclectic mix of patterned sheets which probably dated from the 1980's!, but the accommodation was clean, and overall with a small injection of cash and redecoration this could easily be a 5 star property.
