My husband and I stayed in the Gold Room at the Ardblaire B&B for one night during our honeymoon. We had a wonderful evening and highly recommend this spot to other travelers.

The B&B has been owned by its current owners for just a few months. Rene and Connie (forgive me if I misspell her name) were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and had fantastic views. Our breakfast the next morning was hot and delicious. The B&B is a three minute from High Street - very close to all the local shops.

We appreciated how flexible Rene was with our schedule. Unlike other B&Bs, my husband and I were told we could have our breakfast whenever we wanted and stay out as late as we felt like. We had dinner and a few pints at a local pub on High Street (thanks to a great recommendation from Rene) and came home for the night to find a bottle of champagne left in our room, to help us celebrate our honeymoon.

Overall, our night at the Ardblaire was our favorite night of our 12-day trek around Scotland. I would highly recommend this B&B to other travelers.

Room Tip: The Gold Room is the master bedroom.

What a great B&B. The new owners René and Conny very helpful and made us feel extremely welcome when we arrived. We stayed in the Gold Room, very comfortable, clean and spacious, with a huge ensuite bathroom and great views over the loch.
Ardblair is on the hill above the High St with off street parking and within a few minutes walk to the shops, railway station and local pubs and restaurants.
High recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for the Gold Room - great views !

Firstly, sorry for the late review! My husband and I were lucky enough to stay at Ardblair House last May as part of a longer driving holiday through the Highlands. We hadn't booked in advance and were very lucky to stumble upon this lovely Victorian House -unfortunately it was only for 1 night. The house is on the side of a hill about a 5 min walk into town, with fantastic views over Loch Linnhe. Being on the side of a hill has the benefit of the view, but it also was a little hard to find and up a very narrow and steep street/driveway. The house is elegant and absolutely beautifully decorated, with a lovely inviting lounge downstairs. My husband and I were given the gold master bedroom at the front of the house with sweeping views over the loch. The room was gorgeously decorated and spacious in size, with quality bedding and a huge ensuite with claw foot bath. It is one of the most beautifully decorated B&Bs I've ever stayed in. The hostess was warm and friendly and welcoming and the house had a lovely homely feel to it. Breakfast was again delightful with a little twist on the common Scottish breakfast. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

The house and views were beautiful. The landlady is lovely as is her little dog.Perfect for walking into town.Breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the pink room and it was lovely, but we had just missed out on a gorgeous green and gold bedroom with loch views,so I will be back one day to stay in that room!.All in all a fabulous place to stay.Oh and the bed,it was so comfy and soft.

When we were in Scotland it was very cold and this was a very cosy and warm place to stay.It was 100meters to restaurants ,the town center and the water. Rooms were large and felt like home.

Very nice room with a view out towards the sea. Excellent breakfast - full Scottish. Nice landlady, as well as cute little Hamish the terrier. 5 minutes walk from the promenade and town centre. Lovely stay overall, but if there was a criticism [and only a minor one] it would be access to the B&B parking area which is up a very steep hill.

Would definitely try and book there again should we visit the Highlands again.
