We stayed overnight whilst visiting friends who live close by. We were lucky enough to have the king size room upstairs with views over the river. The room was fabulous, very clean, cosy and warm, plenty of space, flat screen tv, shortbread on arrival. The en suite was large and the shower lovely!

Glengyle House is gorgeous and exceptionally clean. Mildred who welcomed us was very friendly when showing us to our room. We were given choices for two courses for breakfast to pick for the following morning when we arrived. My partner and I opted for pancakes with bacon but were spoilt for choice with other options including scrambled eggs on toast / full Scottish / poached eggs on muffins and an array of cereals or porridge (thankfully no kippers - who would want to stay in a house smelling of fish anyway - just because a B&B doesn't offer kippers - doesn't mean it's not Scottish!)

I would highly recommend staying here if you can, it is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and it has parking at the rear of the house.

First time for staying at the Glengyle and I will for sure recommend to my friends and family to stay here. Planning another trip in the future and will be booking another room here. Could not find more friendly owners, made my stay very enjoyable.
