“Very pleasant and lovely stay!”
Reviewed 31 March 2012

The cabins are beautiful as is setting, about 6 miles north of Fort William. All the mod cons and very comfortable. We immediately felt at home. The staff are very helpful and I thoroughly recommend. Excellent value!

We are a family of 4 -2 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 6. We have just returned from a week at lochaber lodges and after reading previous reviews we were not disappointed. The area is stunning with so much to do and see. The lodges themselves are lovely, clean and with little extras provided.
Frank is a really polite, friendly guy who was really helpful. Overall first class, would definitely return

We visited the Lodges in Feb 2012. We came for skiing, however, the weather was mild and most of the snow had melted on Ben Nevis (Ben Nevis skiing does not seem very good for beginners in any case). This did not ruin our holiday, as there were plenty of other things to do (especially great walks). The lodges are modern, with all the mod cons. The owners are friendly and polite and they had left plenty of essentials in the Lodge for free (dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, etc). The views are fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely come back again.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the luxury lodges. The accommodation is great, but you cannot move the two singl...

Having read all the other reviews for these lodges there is nothing I can add except to endorse the statements already made.
A beautiful quiet place amid outstanding natural beauty
Ski areas accessable at the Nevis range and at Glencoe
Very comfortable lodges where nothing is too much trouble - I was even provided with a special dish so I could make a crumble and feed growing boys after being in the fresh air all day!
The only downside is that this location is a long way from the Home Counties and not round the corner.........I will definately recomend to all our friends
Thanks for a wonderful time .........

WE have been back to Lochaber Lodges for 3 years running now. Frank is really great and more than helpful, always making our stay pleasant. The lodges are modern, clean and spacious with everything you could need. We ski on the Nevis Range which is good when the weather permits! We have also been rock climbing and on scenic walks. Lochaber Lodges is a great place to stay in the area, we cannot fault it and would highly recommend to anyone of any age.

We travelled here as a family of 2 adults and 4 children (ages 6, 8, 11, 13). The views upon approach down the winding country roads were fantastic, on arrival at the lodges they were ideally situated on the banks of the canal with amazing views of Ben Nevis. We received a warm welcome from Frank and Malcom who were helpful throughout our trip. The accomodation was very spacious with everything you could possibly need i.e washer/dryer, Flat screen TVs, microwave, DVD library at the main reception. etc... All bedrooms provided an extremely comforatble and peaceful nights sleep. We were lucky enough to be able to sit out on the verander where a stag paid us a visit on a couple of occasions. The children made use of the play area but also made their own fun exploring the site itself.

Fort William was a short drive away with Morrisons, Tesco, Lidl and Farmfoods all to hand, with a host of pubs and restaurants to choose from. There is plenty to do hiking and walking, the West Highland steam train (of Harry Potter fame), Anoch Mor mountain gondola, Loch Ness and the awesome Glen Coe within easy driving distance to name but a few.

All in all a fantastic holiday in a truely idealic setting, highly recommeded.

The lodges are very good standard, amazing views everywhere and although there are more lodges than I had thought, every lodge has its own space and you don't feel crowded at all. They also get very toasty! We were a little worried about being too cold, but there wasn't a problem inside the lodges! They're very well equipt and the DVD rental at reception is a lovely touch. Frank was amazingly helpful the whole way through from initial contact to saying goodbye, and he was very friendly (even giving us a lift up to the local loch). Our only regret was that we didn't book a week! Book it! You'll love it!
