The Locahber area is rich in its offerings to old and young and Chalet Blaich and its surroundings are a witness. Fort William is close by and for your daily needs Coop is even closer. Just an hour's drive one can reach Mallaig and take a trip to Skye. We have visited Scotland since 2000 almost every year always staying in cottages. This is perhaps the best so far. Tidy, well equipped and organised, cosy , has excellent peaceful surroundings and Karl our host was excellent. Do not miss this Chalet if you plan your next trip in the Loachaber area - a true gem.
We absolutely loved our stay at Chalet Blaich, everything about it was perfect. Karl the owner provided good communication, gave us a warm welcome and showed us how everything worked. He has provided everything you need in the chalet, it's warm and cosy, with a very comfy bed, sofa and power shower. The views are stunning, and the steam train. deer and eagles just add to this. It's very peaceful so perfect for country lovers. It's in a great position to explore, near to Fort William with Neptune's Staircase and the cable car. We did the Road to the Isles to Mallaig (where the ferry goes to Sky) which was a very scenic car ride. We took the ferry to the Isle of Mull and visited Tobermory (Ballamory) and of course went to Loch Ness to hunt for Nessie. On the door step is a lovely walk by Loch Eil or up into the hills. I have spent 20 years trying to persuade my other half to holiday and Scotland and after our holiday here he's already said we'll be back. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Absolutely loved our stay at Chalet Blaich. Fantastic amenities available, comfy sofa and beds. Stunning views and we were delighted to see the Jacobite Train steaming by in the morning. I recommend this chalet to anyone/families who want to get away from it all or to those who intend to see the West Coast of Scotland. It is in a fabulous location to do so. We will definitely be returning.
My son and I stayed here in April and we had an amazing time. The cabin was perfect, comfortable and just what we needed for a week away.
My son loved the walks near by playing just outside the cabin.
We explored Fort William, Malaige, Loch Ness and drove to the Isle of Skye from here.
Karl the owner was great and there to help if needed and really friendly.
We can’t wait to go back.
What a stunning place. Great views, quiet, well equipped. A friendly deer mowing the lawn. Loved it and would visit again. Karl was a good host and we had a couple of nice chats. Friendly neighbours to talk to and Connor the dog. Maybe too quiet for some but ideal to wind down. Great scenery around and a chance to visit Mull, Skye , Loch Ness, Mallaig and Oban to name a few. Spot the wildlife, from deer on the slopes, Otter, Pine Martin and Eagles floating around the mountains.
The chalet was superb with excellent facilities. The views were wonderful and the decking with the BBQ an added extra. You can see the Jacobite Train across the Loch which is a brilliant sight and the location is idyllic. Wonderful holiday.
Chalet Blaich is a great place to explore the Western Highlands. The chalet is beautiful and fully equipped. Karl, the owner, is an extremly attentive host. We will definitely come back.
