Arrived at Burnlea in the sunshine , proprietor on the drive talking to one guest , parking very tight as lines were painted on the drive . Felt it was strange that the proprietor saw us arrive but did not stay outside to welcome us. Mistakenly we went into Burnlea via side door ! ( unclear what entrance to use) my partner was ushered round to the front in a prickly manor . Once in the foyer we were greeted and introduced , led to our room but by then we were a little put off and disgruntled . All changed once entering our room which was lovely , amazing views, comfortable and clean .
Over all our stay was a comfortable one , our hosts were pleasant and helpful the Breakfasts were amazing, shame we had to eat in the foyer which was surrounded by frosted glass the room was quite dark even with the lights switched on.
A dinning room with views over the Loch would have made all the difference . A few minor adjustments would make this a B&B you would return to .

Room Tip: Maybe request breakfast in your room if no adequate dinning area .

We arrived at Burnlea B&B in the midst of a downpour. No matter, Stephanie still came out to help us park the car and unload.....certainly above and beyond the expected welcome! The B&B was delightful in every way. Our room overlooking the loch, was spotless, comfortable, and had all the amenities we could possibly want, including a tea maker and yummy butterscotch biscuits. Stephanie and Linda were delightful hosts, offering suggestions when we had touring questions, yet allowing all of the privacy we wanted. And their breakfast was wonderful, with everything cooked just as we had requested. When we left, it was still pouring, and there was Stephanie again, running out to bid us goodbye. We'd highly recommend this B&B and would stay here again in a minute!

We were very happy with our stay in Burnlea. The owners were so flexible, friendly and had a superb knowledge of local area. We were very impressed with the selection of the breakfast with big portions and how tasty it was. In addition, we loved the number of brochures and magazines of the local area available not only in the common area but also in the rooms. Also the decoration of the rooms was very pleasant, especially paintings of local landscape. Generally we absolutely loved it and would definitely stay there again. Especially for the view of lake from our room :)

Room Tip: Large double room with a view on the Loch is great, highly recommend.

Just got back from a long Weekend stay and it was wonderful, The location overlooks the Loch with lovely big windows you can lie in bed and drink in the view
we had a lovely room king size bed and the room was huge,Breakfast is lovely with a good choice including porridge. Steph and Linda are fab hosts nothing is to much trouble and the BB is spotless, The location is about a 20min walk into Fort William with load of shops and restaurants
Would defiantly book again

Room Tip: ask for the king size rooms overlooking loch

visiting fort William or anywhere nearby look no further than Burnlea this is the one to beat, 2nd to none, big on breakfasts and hospitality, will go that extra mile to help. we and our friends have just returned from a 3 day break and although it rained every day, it didn't spoil our stay at Burnlea. close to choices of restaurants and bars, ben nevis near bye and views over the lake is the perfect setting. look forward to returning in the future. well done girls spot on.

Room Tip: king size bed lake views you name it

Stayed here for 2 nights, during June 2013, on a tour of Scotland. Ladies were really friendly and nothing too much trouble. Large bedroom with all you could wish for. Breakfast was great, plenty of it and asked what you wanted. They were always willing to help with any queries about the location and recommended places to eat. No reason for delay in reviewing except life takes over and you forget to do it, but always meant to review, so here I am. Great location for Fort William, easy walking distance and good parking. Thanks Linda and Stephanie.

Burnlea was absolutely perfect for me and Fort William is an excellent home base for day trips. It's so much better to drive a little bit each day to see what you want to see, than to be packing up faster than you unpacked. I stayed in the cottage and that too, was perfect because you have the option of breakfast (for a price cheaper than you could put it together yourself) and I agree with others, it was great every day. With a fully equipped kitchen, I really liked being able to pack lunches and snacks and even putting an evening meal together, having a break from restaurant food. I slept like a log every night and was ready for a new day of exploration. Steph and Linda are perfect hosts, available and helpful but not at all intrusive, absolutely delightful people I would love to meet again

The street is pretty much B&B alley. It is after all a fine tourist town and the view is Ben Nevis, but when you find Burnlea, look no further, you've found "home"

Room Tip: The cottage is perfect - no comings and goings of other guests, spacious, comfie, fully equipped, an...
