“Great room and Central”
Reviewed 25 October 2011

Stayed here for a night in Fort William in mid october and found it excellent. The locaion is only one street down from the towns pedestrianised walkway, 2 minutes fom the station and less than a minute to the shaws of Loch Linnhe.

The biggest surprise was how well appointed the room was. Large and with a quality feel. Also included the usuals such as tea and coffee and freeview TV. Also the bed was very comfortable after a long journey up from Sussex that day (followed by a large night out in the towns pubs). There was a view of the Loch, althogh slightly obscured by a fire escape.

The only downside was parking. It is free but there is only a limited number of spaces (about 8) and if you miss them the reception advises you to pay and display in the town car park just around the corner (£3 for a 24 hour period).

Stay here if you are interested in location and getting a uality product for not much money.

Room Tip: If you have many bags or are not in the mood for excercise ask for a room on the 1st floor as there...

Our first time staying at the Imperial,The hotel had all that we needed.Regarding the room it was nice but never thought much of the view, but saying that we did nt go to admire the view from the room Location was central to all we wanted to do.Could have been more choice at breakfast but would definetly recomend and stay ther again.

I stayed at Imperial Hotel for the first time, and I can say I was satisfied with everything.
The hotel has all the facilities that we needed, staff was really friendly and helpful, whatever problem we came up, they helped up immediately. Regarding our room. I would say it was a good room for a short stay, we had enough space to move around, it was clean and tidy.
At breakfast perhaps they could offer a wider selection of choices, but overall I was really satisfied with everything.

I have stayed at the Imperial Hotel several times before and knew what to expect. On this occasion, and for the first time, I brought my wife. It is a pleasant, well located hotel - with beautiful views out over the mountains and loch. Its location close to the town centre was a big positive. Our room was well sized, well fitted out and clean. The staff were all friendly and the food/drink were fine.

A couple of negatives. At £300 for two nights (dinner, bed and breakfast) it was overpriced for a hotel of this class. On our DBB tariff we were relegated to a very slim dinner menu, which seemed rather mean when allowing us access to the main menu would have had minimal additional cost to the hotel.

Having got to the hotel at 3pm, after being told our room was ready at 1pm, we waited a further hour to be showed to our room.
Here's the best bit, the covers have been pulled up over bed sheets that were slept in and had what I can only describe as stains !
The reception staff spoke a bit of English (were Russian or East European) an just shrugged their shoulders !! How can anyone work in the tourist or hospitality business be so rude, so uncaring.
There really is nothing good to say about this place, it's over priced, poorly decorated, has an expensive bar and the breakfasts are awful.
Please think about a chain of Inns advertised on TV before this.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking your time to leave your concerns with regards to your recent stay at Best Western Imperial Hotel.
Following your concerns we have enquired with our staffs about the incident and we haven't found any such occurrence though our checking time is after 2 PM and if any guests willing to check in before that time and if the rooms are ready we straight away check them in and if the rooms are not ready then we take that as a priority and get the rooms ready as soon as possible and during the mean time we offer the guests some tea and coffee or bar services. At no point we give the guests a checked out room without being cleaned and without being confirming from our house keeper.
If its about our reception staff being European, that’s not a good remark from your side at all as our staffs are well trained and have a good command on English and they are working with this hotel from last three years and I can assure you that they do their best in providing the best of possible services to each guests with a smile on their faces. Though English is not their mother tongue but they have learnt proper English through the schools.
We gets lots of good feedback about our staffs and their performances and they even go a step forward to make the stay of our customers a enjoyable one but apologies to you if you didn’t like their good and caring nature.
Our prices for the accommodations, drinks and meals are very competitive in accordance with other establishments in the town and décor of the hotel are up to the standards as all the rooms has been refurbished recently and the outside of the building been done in June 2011.
We strive in providing best of accommodations and services to the each and every guests whoever comes to visit us and some of your points has been taken into consideration towards focus and improvement.
Sincerely,
Prashant Kumar
