“Comfortable Stay”
Reviewed 11 April 2013

Booked via internet serch and good value for the price.
Ideal location 5 mins from station and right in the center of town
Arriving late on a Sunday @22:30 we were given the hotel brief by very pleasant night manager, and although the hotel kichen had closed,he gave us informtion as to the options for food in the town.
Pleasently surprised with Room 40,queen size bed, view of the Loch and good size shower/bath room.
We didnt take breakfast, but can recommend the indian food available on the evening menu.
All in all a good comfortable 3 day stay.

Room Tip: Room 40 Queen size bed 2nd floor, overlooking the Loch No lift available at the hotel

We found ourselves locked out of the hotel when we returned after a late family party. There was no night manager and we actually had to force the door to get in! The access to the hotel was not explained to us prior to this event and we were quite stressed with this situation. The actual room was okay but the breakfast was atrocious. The floor in the dining room was sticky, the choice of buffet was very limited and the chef's special was " hash browns" big deal! Absolutely not impressed. We spent £117 for the "pleasure" of B&B and felt we most definitely did not get value for money. When we complained we were offered another nights accommodation free at an alternative Best Western which we were unable to book due to unavailability. As a result we will avoid Best Western hotels in the future.

Room Tip: There was no lift in the hotel so access was a problem for those with mobility issues

We stayed here for one night as our transit on our way back to Edinburgh In April 2013. The room hotel is OK but it is too noisy and the shower didn't work. Breakfast was provided but nothing special. The hotel doesn't have elevator so you have to carry your luggage upstairs. Not just that, the stairs are very squicky, so even when you are already in the room, you will still be able to here other guests steps. This is not good when you are trying to sleep. You could also could here showers from your upstairs guests. No gym or swimming pool facility. The receptionist was friendly though. She called us after 5 minutes after we got it just to check if everything was OK. I'm afraid I would not recommend this hotel.

I have stayed in this chain of hotels all over Britain and this is by far the worst one i have visited.........

I stayed for two weeks between weekends.

Poorly greeted at reception, very unwelcoming, little to no parking.

The rooms were decent enough and clean but not much more.

This was a company booking but would definitely not stay there if paying myself.

Stayed early march 2013

Room Tip: rooms at the next hotel!!! lol

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, a group of 4 mountaining friends. Had read some poor reports in previous week, but v. pleasantly surprised by the welcoming check in staff and also the other staff. The hotel looked and smelt recently decorated, new carpets? Two twin rooms were ok, though the other pair suggested that room 31 was a "bit small". Room 10 was fine, good sized bathroom was fine apart from bein v. cold- towel rail could not cope? Breakfast was good, though supplement needed for smoked haddock or kippers option. Effeciently served by staff on both mornings. Would recommend this hotel if a stay in good position in Fort William is required. Also good value at £69 per room per night.

As I work all over Scotland my business requires that most week's that I stay in Hotel's in various parts of the country, and I can Honestly say that although most Hotels are fine it is unusual to find a Hotel that offers so much, and does it so well, this must be the third or fourth stay at this Hotel and its nice to get a warm welcome from the Hotel Manager who always seems to be on the go, this Hotel offers so much from free wifi to spotless well equipped rooms, friendly staff, and ideally placed so close to the town centre, but the most important, the food, my goodness please, please try the curry, I stayed for two nights, and although the Hotel has a choice of both European food, they also have a Curry menu, and yes I had curry two nights in a row, Chicken Pakora for starters and Chicken Korma for the main could not fault either dish, unusual for me to have curry two night's in a row, but I had to go for the Lamb curry with rice and nan for an amazing price £8.95 and I have to say I have never had such a nice Curry dish not even in any Indian Restaurant, and not for such a price, Honestly truly amazing food, already looking forward to my next trip to the Imperial Hotel in Fort William.

Room Tip: rooms 1,2,and 3 have lovely large window with amazing views of the loch ,but all rooms are clean and...

My wife and I stayed for two nights to celebrate our ruby anniversary at this friendly hotel, wish it could have been longer. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by manager and staff. The hotel is ideally placed, only a minute from town centre and railway station. We booked dinner bed and breakfast and could not fault the meals in any way, my wife is vegetarian and was catered for without any fuss. We upgraded our room and were not disappointed, it was spotlessly clean with good views over the loch. The four poster bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern with jacuzzi bath. After a hectic day of sightseeing this warm friendly hotel was perfect to come back to relax in. We would like to thank the manager and staff who made our stay special.
Charlie and Wilma.
