“A wonderful stay”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

My girlfriend and I have stayed in some great B&B's up and down the length and breadth of the UK and the Morvich is right up there with the very best of them! If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Fort William then look no further...... Morvich is the place to stay!

John and Heather are incredibly welcoming and are fabulous hosts. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and is very homely and comfortable. There really is nothing not to like! Heather's breakfasts are gorgeous and are the perfect start to the day. There's plenty of choice and Heather's specials and home made jams are just fab and my dairy intolerance was catered for brilliantly.

Our room which was upstairs was very spacious and comfortable with superb views of Loch Linnhe through two large velux windows. We loved the little touches too such as the leather armchairs, the Harris tweed cushions, Scottish Fine soaps toiletries in the bathroom and there was even a pair of binoculars in the room to help you to enjoy the views!

It's in a great location also with just a short (10 minute) walk into town where there's some nice pubs and restaurants. There's a wealth of things to see and do just a short drive away. Glencoe is stunning and well worth a visit and of course there's the mighty Ben Nevis which was the reason for our visit.

The Scottish Highlands are a truly beautiful place to visit and the Morvich is a truly brilliant place to stay. Thanks Heather and John for looking after us so wonderfully. When we come back to Fort William we very much look forward to staying with you again :-)

Room Tip: Room tip? If it's available the room at the top of the stairs and straight ahead (the room we st...

Heather is the most delightful hostess and we felt well taken care of. Their home is clean and spacious and the breakfasts were the best we had during our two weeks in Scotland. We were worried it might be too far out of town as we were on foot having just finished the WHW hike but it was the perfect distance. Not too far not too close! Heather made delicious surprises each morning for breakfast (early risers get the best selection) and John was very accommodating in helping us with our luggage. Staying with them felt like coming home.

Me and my wife arrived on Motorbikes absolutely wet through, Heather greeted us, made us a cup off tea with homemade shortbread to warm us up, offered us help to dry our clothes, what a welcome after a long ride. The room was spotless with everything you could want and what a view.
Then there's Breakfast what a feast Traditional or one of the specials superb. We intend to spend a week touring next year and this will be a definite stop over. Thankyou Heather and John

Excellent facility. Food was very good. Owners made you feel at home rather than as customers. They were very knowledgeable regarding the area. Rooms were excellent. Good location. Heather and John were excellent hosts. Would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises and would highly recommend to anyone else.

Our trip to Scotland was made even more memorable with our stay at Morvich. John and Heather are the best hosts and made us feel very welcome. Our room was immaculate, very spacious, and provided a spectacular view! We stayed 2 nights at Morvich and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Heather's Malt Whiskey Bread and Butter Pudding is a must-have for breakfast. If visiting Fort William, Morvich is the place to stay.

Room Tip: Very easy to find and convenient private parking. The best B&B in Fort William

We enjoyed a weeks holiday in Fort William and our stay at this B&B was lovely. They made us feel very welcome and they were friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts really delicious, look out for the specials that Heather prepares, very nice ! The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious, and the bed was SO comfortable, great after a long day of walking!, there was plenty of space for clothes and bags etc. We had the front bedroom overlooking the loch, which was spectacular on a misty morning.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
