Having completed the West Highland Way a celebratory meal was required. With a bust foot I was in charge of that, and luckily arrived here as the owner was popping out having just had a cancellation. Fortuitous all round. Our table of five was just what was required. A lovely log fire in one of the two 'waiting room' sitting rooms greeted us and a pre-dinner drink enjoyed as we decided what to have.
Excellent local produce beautifully cooked and presented with a very tasty amuse bouche and at a very reasonable price. The kitchen is open to the dining room so mouth watering smells waft through to the hall as you go through, and food has no distance to travel to your table.
A small art gallery at the rear is well worth a wander and one of our group found an excellent painting of the first mountain she climbed so it became an addition to the celebration.
One of our group is a little hard of hearing but the acoustics meant the busy ambiance did not preclude his hearing all the conversation. A rare event.
Would highly recommend you book.More
