Another great few days away with Lochs & Glens Holidays. We done Self drive. This company is great value and this is 2nd time we have used them. We went to this hotel just over 10 years ago when it was owned by someone else and it was badly needing done up - Lochs & Glens have done it up and restored it well and it is lovely..glad they kept the original décor in main hotel. All the staff that is employed by Lochs & Glens are all very pleasant and very helpful. They work well together and always on the go. We had a nice surprise as we got a view from our room which is really nice overlooking Loch Linne. Room was spotless. Will try their other hotels next year. Hotel is only 5 mins walk into town and the new Wotherspoon Restaurant is a good place for a feed. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: If you want a view ask for front of hotel. Is a bit of a climb if you are not very fit!!

Just returnd from the highland hotel ,my second holiday with lochs and glens would recommend this travel company to everyone .The hotel is lovely very clean with good food and the staff can not do enough for you .All the staff were helpful but lozlo in dinning room ,johnathan and maggie on front desk I realy liked .What I liked about this hotel was you could walk out into the town if you wanted then come back and sit in front of the open fires and have a nice drink or two ,the price of the drinks ok too .The entertainment was ok and with meeting people on the coach we all have a good laugh .We had a room over looking the loch it was lovely to open the curtains every morning and see the amazing views .I would recommend this hotel to anyone it may be a long journey but well worth it for the scenery ,I don't know how lochs and glens do the trips for the money great hotels good food and trips as well nothing better .

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front and in main part of hotel ,The entertainment ends at about eleven pm so...

My partner and i booked into this hotel for a self drive holiday, with his parents. The hotel has a lovely charm with wood panelling and open fires in the lounge area, the rooms are a good size and are exceptionally clean. As it is a coach party hotel, the entertainment is geared to an older audience, but Fort William is literally a few minutes walk away, so it is easy to spend the evening in a local pub. The food is plentiful and all tastes are catered for, i am a vegetarian which usually means most meals are made with cheese and no thought, not so here, i enjoyed the food, and even ate nut roast, which ordinarily i don't particularly like, but here it was delicious, all credit to the chef. The staff at this hotel have to be seen to be believed, they are courteous, totally professional and always have a friendly hello, an amazing team, the hotel runs like clockwork thanks to their hard work. The only niggles really were the small size of the windows which do restrict the views, however as we had an amazing view of the loch, this is easily forgiven .Breakfast on the morning of departure is restricted as there is no vegetarian option available, no eggs, beans or fried bread, although guests are advised of this via the information board which is updated daily, however it would have been nice to have more than toast, although i was given a plentiful amount. I would recommend anybody to visit this hotel, for the amazing service, value for money and magnificent scenery of the area. Chris W Staffs

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view when booking as some are facing other windows or walls.

Absolutely love staying here. Although perhaps I'm a little biased as I'm working as a sub contractor for Lochs and Glens, my passengers are thrilled with the hotel and I always look forward to staying here.

It absolutely kicks the back side out of any other hotel in the area, it's spotless, perfect food and fantastic staff.

These people know how to run a hotel, you can be sure of that.

My 2nd Lochs and Glens holiday. Standard very high. Staff most helpful. Approach to Hotel is a test for the coach drivers due to narrow streets and Hotel position on a steep hill. Managing 3 coach loads of guests for meals the staff have it down to an art.
Meals and service excellent.
Holiday using Highland hotel as a base is suited to mature travellers.
Driver failed to point out two museums in Fort William area, one just off the High Street(Cameron Square).
Our drivers Garry and James were knowledgeable about the places we passed through but gave little guidance on what was worth seeing when we stopped for a couple of hours en-route.

Room Tip: You need to book early if you want a view of the loch from your room window. No single supplement

My husband and myself stayed at the Highland Hotel in Fort William at the beginning of September for three nights on a coach tour. Our bedroom was spacious with a very comfortable bed and the bathroom had the largest shower cubicle I have ever seen. The only downside of the room was the two very small windows which didn't give much of a view. The food was plentiful and well cooked and the staff very attentive. The hotel is at the top of a hill and the quickest way into Fort William is down steps from the hotel and then down more steps through some trees. It doesn't take long to get into town or back to the hotel, but it is very tiring going back up the stairs, especially if you are getting on a bit!

Room Tip: Front of the hotel facing the loch.
