Stayed here the weekend with a few friends and was not impressed at all
The male and female toilets on the floor we were on could not deal with the number of people on that floor
The kitchen could not deal with the number of people on that floor
The common room was closed at 12.30 pm and so there was not where to sit and have a chat
There was some confusion on the price being charged for the rooms booked
Would not stay there again

Having stayed in a couple of other hostels in Fort William I wasn't expecting much here, however this was definitely the best I had stayed in (in Fort William anyway). The 4 of us had a family room which was worth the extra couple of quid and still pretty cheap. Beds were fine, the room was pretty big, there was a tv which is good for a hostel and the en-suite bathroom was basic but sufficient. Location is pretty much perfect being practically in the middle of town

We needed a family room for 3 of us for one night only and this was ideal. Perfect for location as we could walk into the town centre for an evening meal and look round the shops. It was a bonus to have parking. The room was comfortable, clean and with en-suite facilties. Another bonus was having TV (essential for teenager!) and tea/coffee facilities in the room. The kitchen and dining room was very busy in the morning but we managed to work round each other. Excellent value for money in this area.

Room Tip: There are a range of rooms so check the website or phone for details

Single occupancy meant I had a double room to myself, with en suite bathroom. The room was no frills: plain, comfortable and clean, reasonably spacious, with tea and kettle provided. Perfect for the end of the West Highland Way when you have to leave early and don't have time for breakfast anyhow but need a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. It's right downtown and close to the railway station, important if you need to catch the 7:40 a.m. train back to Glasgow. (The Tesco round the corner opens at 7 a.m. so you can get something for your breakfast on the way to the station; or eat at the station cafe.)

I thought Bank St Lodge was great value and perfectly adequate for a one night stay.

Room Tip: A private room, single or double occupancy, with ensuite is probably best.

There ain't many places in FW as cheap as this. It is right in the center with free car parking and only a couple of minutes off the main drag.
Travel Inn is out of town and TL is above Spoons so if your on a budget check this place out x

This is a nice place to stay on a budget, but that is it., bed only, but comfortable and fairly priced. If you are walking though it can be quite a climb up a steep hill to the entrance.Staff are friendly and willing. This is my place when in town but that is usually as I tend to travel on a budget and on my own.

The rooms were incredibly small to fit 4 people, the first night the hotel was really crowded and I didn't sleep well, the room was too hot and you can't open the window properly unless you remove the bed. Shared bathroom services were clean but the bathrooms weren't properly ventilated and the carpets in the corridors smelled horribly. Also in the 2013 you cannot provide a wifi service which is only limited for the lobby area, just not doable.

Room Tip: Ask them if the room is in the lower floor, if yes, look elsewhere
