My friends & I went on an overnight trip with Rockhopper in the middle of September & had an absolute ball.
We met with our guide Stewart at Rockhopper's HQ & talked through the plan for the day/weekend.
In order to give us a better route, we drove our car up to Glen Uig & Stewart followed in the van.
The weather the first morning was somewhat drab & a little rainy - however we all got into our (supplied) wet weather gear & paddled out to sea!
I have to say we had a fantastic time - we went to Castle Tioram & had a wander around which was very interesting. We paddled via a ledge where there were some mussels a few of which we took with us in the kayak for eats later on.
All the way Stewart kept us entertained with information about the areas flora, fauna & history. We then paddled out though some quite choppy waves which got the adrenaline going.
The weather improved, the sun came out & we stopped to camp on a little peninsula with 3 small (white) sandy beaches.
We all put our tents up & Stewart got the dinner on the go - including our fresh mussels with a nice wee broth of butter, onion, garlic & pepper. We all sat on a nice little ledge watching the sun go down over the isles of Rum & Eigg - it was simply idyllic.
After a nice night's sleep with only the noise from the ocean we woke to find a glorious morning - we had porridge & tea/coffee & paddled out into the sea again. We paddled round the coast to Loch Ailort & onto a quite stunning white sandy beach with the clearest blue sea, it was more like Thailand than Scotland! Amazing!
We had a great time chatting over a cup of tea & some lunch. After this we had some fun paddling through some rocks as the waves swept over them as seals watched us, brilliant fun!
We then paddled into Glen Uig tired, but very very happy.
We had a brilliant time & I'd recommend anyone to go on a trip with these guys - especially with Stewart who made the weekend with his good humour, tips & calm manner - he even put up with our rubbish jokes about wi-fi codes (in the middle of nowhere).

Absolutely brilliant! Ben made this a great afternoon, exploring the coast line, including the seals taking a look at us. We all had a fantastic time, would definitely return and spend a full day. Great communication before we arrived.

I've been on tour with rockhopper twice now and can't believe that it's not rated as the best thing to do in Fort William. Or the Highlands? Or Scotland. Its that good.
Stuart and Ben have obviously improved since last time, the safety, skills, equipment, techniques and knowledge are all first class, and therefore the adventures and fun have been perfected.
It's a beautiful way to experience nature, to see the parts other tour will never reach, and to spend your precious holidays. Do it.

Excellent overnight where Rockhopper provided all the food, professional guide. We saw seals, eagles, sea birds , castles and shared laughed. The most stunning sun rise and sun sets overlooking the West Coast. A cracking time and we will certainly be back. Thanks guys.

My husband and I had a wonderful day sea kayaking around Arisaig Sound, along with two others, guided by Stuart (who we can't recommend enough). We were lucky with the weather and the scenery was just stunning! Stuart was excellent at judging our wishes and abilities - upping or slowing the pace as necessary. We saw numerous interested seals, who were thoroughly entertaining, and myriad seabirds - including a gannet who dive-bombed for fish right next to one of our group's kayaks. We stopped for lunch in a secluded, sheltered cove with crystal clear water. The whole day was just brilliant. Thank you Stuart!
