“GREAT FOR DISABLED PEOPLE”
Reviewed 11 September 2012

Wanted a room at Fort William but struggled to find accommodation. In the end panicked and booked a disabled room even though I am not disabled.

The location of the hotel is excellent near to McDonald's, Morrisons Supermarket, the railway station and only a short walk through the underpass to the town centre.

The room was new, clean, and everything worked except the Wi Fi which is why I have only given a VERY GOOD rating.

Very impressed with the disabled facilities in the large en-suite including a wet-room format and all the necessary features. Ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

Paid £76.00 for the room and then £22.00 for a MEAL DEAL (English breakfast and three course evening meal with drink.)

The staff both in the hotel and the adjacent restaurant could not be more helpful. The food was not gourmet but neither was the price.

The bed was large and very comfortable giving me an excellent night's sleep.

I would book here again but plan ahead and and book a standard room.

The location and the staff here are excellent. Very friendly helpful people. The food is good value but there are a few deals to negotiate. The breakfast is well worth having. The only grouse I have is that it is a standardised hotel and doesn't gear its facilities to the area. We were climbing Ben Nevis and unsurprisingly a large group of us had very wet gear but there were no drying facilities and therefore we all had to pack wet clothes to go home. If booking ask for these facilities beforehand and they may begin to cater better for walkers and outdoor facilities. Everything else was fine although I think the price is a little expensive for a budget hotel given that you pay extra for breakfast.

All good, except wi-fi went down on the Tuesday, not fixed during the stay. Asked staff, no idea on time scale to fix. Arrived back on Friday, still not fixed. This is Saturday and still not fixed. Asked staff again, no idea when it will be fixed.

Room Tip: Everything good

Stayed here for two nights when taking the Jacobite train to Mallaig day trip. Hotel is everything you expect from a premier inn - basic and clean. Food at the brewers inn was fair and cheap and hotel walking distance into town and train station. Would definitely stay in if in area again. It's not the cheapest I've paid for a premier inn but that's down to location and levels of tourism in the area I think being near Ben Nevis and the steam train.

After an 11 hour drive it was nice to arrive here. Friendly staff, spotless and well equipped rooms. This is the reason why we go to a Premier Inn, you know what you're getting. Breakfast in the restaurant next door was great. My only quibble is that the corridors in this place seem to go on for miles, and we were right at the end! This did mean it was super quiet for us though.

The hotel was just not very good. The bed was uncomfortable, and the room, overlooking th e car park was noisy. Breakfast was unappetising and greasy. We left after one night, and wrote off the cost of the remaing three nights we had booked. When we indicated we were leaving, there was no reference to the 'good night guarantee'.
