This hotel provided a convenient, comfortable and very reasonably priced over night stay breaking up our journey to South Uist. It was a first stay in a Premier Inn and it lived up to expectation generated by their ads.

Stayed at the Premier Inn prior to climbing Ben Nevis on the Saturday. Efficient check in, rooms very clean and comfortable. Friday night our sleep was disturbed by a fire alarm but we received a refund with no difficulty at all on the back of their good night sleep guarantee or your money back. Breakfast in the nearby Beefeaters was also very good. The Premier Inn also offered a first aid kit to one of the group who had fallen and cut themselves. My only gripe was the stifling heat in the rooms which the fan did little to ameliorate but it would not stop me returning.

Dear Rosie T T,

Many thanks for the lovely review of your recent stay with us!
It really matters to us that all of our guests enjoy every aspect of their stay and I am pleased to see on this occasion we met your expectations.

I am very sorry that the fire alarm had to sound when you and your group had such a busy following day, hopefully the delicious breakfast from Brewers Fayre helped to keep your energy up through your climb – I just hope the guest who fell had a speedy recovery!

Thank you for your comments relating to the temperature of the room; high temperatures aren’t normally something to even consider in the north of Scotland but this summer has been particularly hot here. As we are due a refurbishment soon all comments from guests are passed to our property developing team and we are looking to obtaining air conditioning. Until this is due though our reception team will always be more than happy to offer additional fans and remove the bed duvets replacing them with thinner sheets to help keep you cool.

We do hope to welcome you again soon and if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable or if you have any special requirements juts give us a call prior to your arrival.
And lastly…congratulations on completing the Ben!

Warm regards,
John Taylot

We stayed 2 nights in August 2014 while in the area and a day trip to Skye.
Checked in online and made arriving at the hotel very easy.
The room was lovely, and clean with a view of the hills. The staff were warm and welcoming with plenty of smiles.
Very quiet hotel - even though it is a large hotel with lots of rooms - no noise from our neighbours.
More than ample parking.

Thanks for the great review! At Premier Inn we always strive to provide a clean and comfortable environment for our guests to enjoy their stay and I am so pleased to see that we met your expectations.

Checking in online is still quite new but it is great, especially after a long drive when you just want straight to your room!
I’ll be sure to tell our team your kind words; they always love hearing feedback from our guests.

Hopefully we will see you again in the future and be sure to give us a call for any future bookings so we can try our best to allocate a room with a lovely view of Ben Nevis for you.

Stayed here on a Saturday night, prior to an early morning ascent of Ben Nevis. So great location, only 3 minute drive to the visitor centre. Very nice premier inn - good sized rooms. Clean and functional bathroom. Very quiet at night so got a good nights sleep. Only 2 minor points were the lack of air con in the room so was a little stuffy - but there was a decent sized fan in the room - and the window opened a little bit too. Quite pricey hotel - however I booked this 2 nights prior to arrival so have to expect to pay double. All in all great base to stay at and I definitely recommend it. Would definitely return. Friendly check in. Good pub joined to the hotel.

Dear Badger789,

Thanks for you great review. The team in Premier Inn Fort William were delighted to read your comments. Your feedback is very much appreciated as it enables us to improve standards.

I'm glad you found the hotel a good base for exploring Fort William. We are located 5 minutes walk from High Street; the town centre but are far enough from the busy roads that isolate us from any external noise.

Also congratulations on scaling Ben Nevis! I hope the weather was not too unpredictable for you, I have heard it can change in minutes, especially towards the peak.

Our property team are looking to obtain air con as part of a refurbishment in the future, I am glad this has not put you off from staying with us again. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us prior to your next visit if you wish a similar room type.

Regarding the price you paid; our pricing policy may increase at time of demand but also may reduce on nights that they are less busy. We do have a Team who closely monitor all hotels to ensure they are competitively priced as we always try and give you the best value for money. Once again, thanks for your review. We hope to welcome you back soon!

Warm regards,

John Taylor

Very good example of a good well run premier inn.
Noticed they have made great efforts to make sure the place is as quiet as possible, which is good, we were right at the end of the corridor so did not notice any noise from other guests, the view from our room was nice, it was overlooking the beginnings of the nevis range,
For a premier Inn it was a very expensive room rate, (Over £100) but i guess it was a supply and demand situation as the hotel was still full (we booked months in advance).
Clean and tidy as you would expect, good parking.
Hotel was next to a retail park with a supermarket, boowlling alley and macdonalds.
Brewers Fayre Restuarant attached was suprisingly good too and good value, we had our eveniing meal here.

We couldn't believe it , We have used premier inns on numerous occasions and this was the first time we have been asked to produce photo ID ,because we were paying with cash,
We couldn't understand why, and when we asked the receptionist she said it was in the terms and conditions and pointed it out on the wall, (bit late after a 300 mile trip) I told her I had not seen it before , So I asked again why did they need photo ID, She said it was company policy? (that's not an explanation, just a cop out) It wasn't like we had just turned up out of the blue ..We had it booked for months , they had been emailing us and we had used a credit card to secure the booking , So we couldn't understand the problem, She told us to go and put the money in the bank and then pay by card ,As it was the bank holiday Monday ,we couldn't do that, we didn't want to pay on our card as the funds in the bank was limited,, So at 5;30 on the Bank holiday Monday we found ourselves out on the street With two young children , Luckily the travel lodge across the way was a lot more understanding and let us pay cash and it was £30 cheaper and over the top of a Wetherspoons, result,
So come on premier inn, if its so its so important that we need photo Id when paying cash , then it should be in large print on my invoice not in the small print somewhere in the terms and conditions

Dear LeeDarwenLancs

Thank you for your recent review of our hotel.

Asking our guests to provide identification when paying for rooms in cash is not only our companies policy but also similar to that of other hotels. This is for the safety and security of our guests, our team and our business. I do hope you understand that we were only doing our jobs by following this policy.

Under your terms and conditions of your booking and the payment methods option on our website it does state that ID is required when paying with cash. We are pleased you were able to find accommodation and I do sincerely hope you had a pleasant visit to Fort William.

Warm regards
John Taylor
