Premier Inn Fort William Hotel
Ranked #6 of 21 Hotels in Fort William
Reviewed 2 August 2009

We found this Premier Inn an ideal spot for visiting the Highlands. It is easy to find and the centre of town, supermarket and trainstation are close by, as ar the local sites like the Glen and Ben Nevis. But you can also easily visit Loch Ness, Glenfinnan and Glen Coe from here. The hotel itself is great for a stay with kids. Two kids each have their own single bed. The room we stayed in was clean and had everything you would want. There is a Brewers Fayre pub next door with excellent food and a special kids menu. The breakfast is also served here and the premier breakfast offers everything you could want. The staff at reception and in the pub were very nice and helpful.
The only negative we can think of (and that goes for all premier inns we stayed at: the floors are very thin, so if you are unlucky with your upstairs neighbours (i.e. they pace around the room a lot at night or early in the morning) then you might have some trouble sleeping.
All in all again a very good premier inn-experience.

It is ok for a no frills hotel, quiet expensive at £69 per night for no added extras. The water does not seem to have a temperature regulator on it, and I burnt my foot while trying to have a bath. Reported to very friendly reception, handy man came to fix but did not seem to.

Reception staff were very friendly and made the stay more enjoyable. Location is not the best as it is located on an Indutrial Estate with no view, there maybe more scenic places to stay in Fort William. Overall I would say the hotel served its purpose, but do think £69 per night is too expensive especially as breakfast is included.

Good clean accommodation. Well situated and plenty of car parking. Pub/Restaurant attached to hotel has good varied menu at reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet good. Most staff friendly but receptionist must have been a Doctor's Receptionist in a former life!! Very similar accommodation to Travelodge but more expensive. However no handy Travelodge in Fort William hence my stay at Premier Inn

We stayed here whilst on a driving holiday in the highlands. This Premier Inn is on the same retail park as a Morrisons supermarket, a MacDonalds and is next to the Bus terminus. Quite a lot of redevelopment going on, on the site adjacent to the hotel which makes the area look worse than it is. The hotel has recently been extended. The new rooms in this extension are I think more compact and the lighting is white and stark unlike the rest of the hotel. Service very good, and a Brewers Fayre pub resturaurant next door.

Primer Inn Fort William.
Just back from a New Year stay at this Hotel
Very clean, warm, nice shower and lovely staff
We were there three nights and it was fully booked
being over the New Year thought it might have some
noise but we didn't hear a thing quiet as a mouse

Okay, so it's not a 4-Star hotel, but the Premier Inn is definitely "above average" in the budget category.

We received a friendly welcome upon arrival from the front desk staff member and registration and payment was handled in minutes.

The room was a little on the small side - with one double bed and a single cot there was little room to manoeuvre, but the design of the room made the tight quarters bearable. That being said, there were only two of us in the room, a family of three + might find it a bit of a tight squeeze.

The bathroom was very clean and the fixtures seemed quite new. The TV was very small and only had about 4 channels, but this is a budget hotel, so no surprises there, but was surprised to find that there was no phone in the room - not an issue for us, but that was unexpected – there is a pay phone at reception, and I believe that you can arrange to have a phone in your room (I assume at extra cost).

I noticed that the walls were a bit thin and you could hear comings and goings, but most other guests were considerate so no problems there. I could see the noise being a problem if the hotel was busier or the guests rowdier.

The location is excellent both for guests coming by car or by train - the train station is a leisurely 5 minute walk away, and is partially covered, and the building is right off the main road.

There is a fairly large Morrisons (grocery store) on the way to the station which has a full cafe attached. If a meal at the restaurant attached to the Premier Inn is too expensive, pop into the Morrisons Cafe for a cheap meal. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and found the full buffet a fairly good value at 7.50 pp. The service was also fast and friendly.

Would definitely stay at this Premier Inn again.
