“Excellent views, food and hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2013 via mobile

We'd highly recommend this B&B, and will stay here again if we are ever in Ft William. We stayed in the two-room suite, which features fantastic views of the loch and hills (but when sitting on the couch thankfully obscures the dreadful A82). Our room was comfy and attractive, and though cold at first it heated up very quickly. The free wifi and a good selection of DVDs mean that if the rain closes in you will be comfy, warm and entertained.

Chris was a great host, offering us a coffee and homemade cake from the moment we arrived and giving great advice for day trips. The breakfasts were impressive. He also had lots of ideas on local walks and drives, and places to try for otter-spotting.

The only slight difficulty we had was finding it, as the sign faces the loch rather than the road, but there are plenty of places to turn around if you accidentally zoom past (it would be a hike into town if walked, but you don't come to Ft William for the high street, and you can always get a taxi back).

Thank you Hefbat for your kind review. We are delighted that you were so cosy in The Waterfall Suite. We are sorry that you had difficulty spotting our temporary sign, a car ran in to the original one and completely demolished it! We are expecting delivery of a new one any day now so we will be easy to find if you are ever able to visit us again.

I couldn't fault Huntingtower Lodge if I tried. My boyfriend took me here for my 21st birthday and it was stunning. We stayed for 2 nights in the Ardgour room which has large Velux windows that show off the beautiful scenery of Fort William, a spacious and very comfortable bed, the bathroom had The Highland Soap company products which we both loved and made a visit to the shop in town to stock up for ourselves!
Jackie gave us such a warm welcome offering us tea or coffee with biscuits giving us a chance to relax after our journey in front of the real fire before showing us our room which was nice because she gave the time to sit down and have a chat telling us we were free to watch any of the dvd's they had and if there was anything else we needed. In the morning Chris gave us some advice on some walking routes and had a very large selection of maps and books that we were free to use .
Breakfast was stunning as our table was set looking directly looking out on to the loch and the food matched the unbeatable view. We traveled from Huddersfield so a good 6 hour drive each way and it was worth every mile. I could say so much more but you should find out for yourself! A little gem and will definitely return!

My husband and I stayed at Huntingtower Lodge for two nights, and it was incredible. We loved it and Fort William! Chris was so great - very helpful with suggestions for activities around Fort William, and patiently answered our many questions about the area. The breakfasts were delicious and the room was lovely, clean, comfortable, and very spacious. The rooms have products from The Highland Soap Company, which I absolutely loved - they smell so wonderful (definitely stop in at their store in Fort William if you have a chance)! Two nights was not enough to explore the area, and I really hope we can visit Fort William and the Huntingtower Lodge again soon!

The Huntingtower Lodge, on the outskirts of Fort William is a brilliant B&B. Chris and Jackie have set up a little gem. They are both very welcoming and helpful, having loads of suggestions of where to go and what to see. We stayed in the Ardgour room which has huge velux windows overlooking Loch Linnhe and is spacious and comfortable. The whole place is modern, clean and relaxing. Jackie is a great cook, making the breakfasts with top quality ingredients and even baking the shortbread biscuits and bread. We thoroughly recommend this place for couples looking to holiday in the West Highlands.

Much has been written about this B&B, therefore I will add that we just had our second stay and it was equal to the excellent experience we had on the first visit three years ago. The breakfast and the rooms are really top quality. A lovely helpful couple. I feel anyone would be very hard pressed to find a better B&B. Enough said, you need to try it to believe it.

Room Tip: Studio is a great room for lots of space.

Stayed here last October, fabulously decorated rooms tucked away with great views. Chris and Jackie were friendly, accommodating and drove us to a few local places due to our lack of a car. Breakfast was delicious and amazing walks around the b&b.. Chris and Jackie also had a variety of walking books/ birdwatching books etc for customer use Could not have been happier with our hosts, food or location. Highly recommend.
