Spent two nights during extended visit to the Highlands. Lovely, modern house, beautifully and simply decorated; knowledgeable, welcoming hosts; great views from upstairs bedroom; excellent breakfast; overall, very good value for the money. Dining in Fort William is undistinguished, but be sure to take the drive to lunch or dinner at the Loch Leven Seafood Cafe--well worth the time and effort for a memorable meal in a memorable setting. Great walking in the area.

Thank you BACH for your review. We love our home and are always happy to hear that guests love it too. The view is beautiful and is constantly changing and I can lose a lot of time gazing out of the window! You are right about the walking, there are so many different walks to do in the area and there really is something for everyone, from a gentle stroll along the Caledonian Canal to climbing Ben Nevis.

We stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was spacious and beautifully presented. The bathroom was very well equipped and the public areas are very comfortable.
The hosts, Chris and Jackie, were really helpful in recommending restaurants and were happy to drive us in to town for dinner as it is too far to walk. Breakfast in so many hotels is really poor but this place puts them all to shame - the breakfast was excellent.
We also loved the the thoughtful little touches like the binoculars in the bedroom.

Thank you Stephen1717 for taking time to write us a review. It is good to hear that you were comfortable here at Huntingtower Lodge and that you enjoyed your breakfast so much. We are always happy to give our guests a lift in to town if they get a taxi back, many of our guests arrive by public transport and appreciate this service. We hope to welcome you back to Fort William before too long.

Spent 3 nights with Chris & Jackie and have no complaints. The room was immaculate, large enough for an extended stay and to top it off the shower was big enough for a normal sized person to use! The breakfast was well presented and better than some I've had in high end international hotels.

Both Chris & Jackie were brilliant hosts, even presenting my wife with a birthday card and bottle of champagne after finding out it was her birthday. Neither were obtrusive, but readily on hand to help. Nice people who seem to enjoy their business and like meeting people.

I have only ever stopped in two b&b's, both in Fort William and I've got to say the standard has been high.

Thank you Dave N for choosing Huntingtower Lodge as the venue to celebrate your wife's "21st" birthday. The Loch View is the smaller of our double rooms and we are so pleased that you found it spacious enough for your short break. It is always good to hear that guests are enjoying the breakfast and finding the rooms comfortable and clean, Chris is a dab hand with the hoover!

It was a pleasure to meet you both and I hope that we won't have to wait a whole year until the "22nd" birthday before we see you again.

Spent three nights with Chris and Jackie at the Huntingtower. Brilliant stay. All the good things mentioned previously in reviews are true. Fabulous reception, superb room, out of this world food prepared by Jackie herself. Lots of homemade preserves, cakes and not forgetting the porridge. Lots of local information from Chris if you want it. Lovely wild life to watch from our bedroom window. Room was very modern with super comfy bed, armchairs and of course bathroom. Everything you need. If you are booking a stay in Fort William, trust me don't bother going anywhere else the Huntingtower is the best. Thanks Chris and Jackie for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: Ground floor off the hall

Thank you so much Cutts for taking time to write us such a lovely review, we really do appreciate it. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed all the home baking, jams etc, I love to cook and and it gives me a lot of pleasure when our enjoy guests their food here. The porridge, a slightly healthier option than the full Scottish(!), is always a popular breakfast here at Huntingtower Lodge, it certainly sets you up for the day whether you are walking or doing something less energetic. We hope that we will see you back here again before too long.

We have stayed at Huntingtower Lodge twice in the last two years. We found this place on trip advisor, and had high expectations due to the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. This B&B has the best breakfast I have ever had in the UK.
The first time, we went, we stayed in the waterfall suite. After an overnight train trip, the linens were soft and clean, and the beds were like clouds. The suite was nicely appointed with a bedroom, sitting room (with a fantastic view of the loch), an en suite bathroom, and a bonus space that I wasn't expecting. Instead of a closet, the waterfall suite has a lovely dressing room with windows that crank open to let the cool Scottish air in, a large dresser, and tea service with home made sugar cookies. Delicious with afternoon tea or after a dinner at the Ben Nevis Inn.
The second time we stayed, we took e studio. There was ample space for two adults and all of the baggage of international travel. This suite includes the same wonderful bedding and my fav cookies! One of my favorite things about the bathroom is the soaps and shampoos. Jackie keeps them stocked with Highland Soap products, and I always smelled of heather and rosemary. The towel Warner's and bidet were nice touches as well.
Now for the most important part..... The grub. Chris welcomes you to your table (set the night before) and lets you wake up,with French pressed coffee or a stout tea. My suggestion is to order a potato pancake with a fried egg and Scottish salmon on top. It's "gorgeous"! Don't forget to try the fresh granola with currants and pumpkin seeds with creamy milk. So good!
One important point to make is that Chris and Jackie are very responsible concerning the environment. Many of the herbs and veggies come from their garden, and they buy in bulk to conserve on the trash production. You won't see trash cans full of bags and little cereal boxes in this place. It is very clean and efficient. Make sure you take a moment to sit quietly with some binoculars (provided on your windowsill) and observe the wildlife. Critters and birds love Huntingtower Lodge, as the are plenty of feeders to keep them coming.
To truly enjoy this place, one needs two or three nights. To soak it all up. Chris and Jackie are full of suggestions of places to eat, hear music, and things to do. DOnt miss the steam train to Malaig. It's a full day, but well worth your time. We loved it. Do not waste time or money on coach. It's worth every penny to go,first class.
We will return to Huntingtower lodge as soon as we can, as Fort William is an excellent base for your highland adventure. When you are there, take a look around at Jackie's glass collection. You'll see a blue abstract that I made......magnify of appreciation for two fabulous trips.

Room Tip: Any room would be great, but make sure to allow enough time to sit quietly and enjoy the peaceful at...

Thank you very much Amelia C for your very positive review. It was great to see you both again and we are so pleased that you enjoy staying with us. As you said we like to encourage wildlife around the house and this summer we have been busy working on a wildlife pond up in the woods, we are keeping our fingers crossed for some tadpoles next spring.

Thank you very much for the lovely gift that you made for us, when you return you will find it hanging in the hall.
