“The Perfect Little Lodge!”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

We had two nights at Hungtingtower lodge around two days ago! It was out first time in Scotland and i have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip! what an amazing place and our room was perfect! The breakfast was served on time and tasty!

The views were amazing and the car parking and local restaurants and trips were just as good and got some great memorable photographs!

Chris and Jackie were amazing hosts and made us feel very welcome and gave us great hospitality!

I loved the whole experience and will be going back very soon!

Thank you! :)

Thank you Surunder for your review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your first trip to Scotland and are delighted that you are planning to return, it is a beautiful country and The Highlands are especially beautiful.

It was lovely to meet you both and we look forward to welcoming you both back to Huntingtower Lodge.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at this wonderful B&B in July. We were doubly lucky as we had the best of places to stay and weather to enjoy - yes, the sun shone every day!

Jackie and Chris really have a fabulous place here which is modern, classy and clean. The suite that we had was very special with a bedroom, changing room, en-suite and a sitting room. The skylights to the front enabled us to look out over Loch Linnhe and to the wonderful sky at night, the bedroom looks out onto a garden with a little bridge into a wooded area. They offer a very comfortable atmosphere with a great sitting room/dining room with large windows over looking the garden and the loch. Breakfast was fabulous with locally sourced food - the eggs tasted like they did when I was a kid! They are not only wonderful hosts but also the fonts of all local knowledge - giving us great ideas and directions for getting out and about and seeing the Highlands. They will also readily lend you books and maps for the day to help you plan your route!

I cannot recommend Huntingtower Lodge highly enough and look forward to visiting Fort William again in the not too distant future when hopefully Jackie and I can sit out by the loch and capture that perfect image!

Room Tip: We had the Waterfall suite which was lovely.

Thank you Rose J for you very kind review, it is much appreciated. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in The Waterfall Suite so much. Fort William is such a fantastic base for exploring The Highlands and there is so much to do and see!

I am looking forward to sitting with you by the loch to capture that perfect photo but we photographers know that that shot is very illusive and exists in our heads most of the time!

We had 3 nights at Huntingtower Lodge between visits to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games and we’re so glad we did. Chris and Jackie were wonderful hosts throughout with lots of suggestions on things to do in the area. The delicious fresh breakfasts were perfect in readiness for climbing Ben Nevis. Our room, the Ardgour was one of the nicest we’ve ever stayed in - big comfortable bed, lovely decor and an amazing view across to the loch through the large velux windows. Thoroughly recommended, we will be back.

Room Tip: Can recommend the Ardgour - beautiful room with an amazing view

Thank you very much StuandEm for your review. Weren't the Glasgow Commonwealth Games amazing? We were delighted that you took a break from all the excitement to come up to the Highlands to spend a few days with us. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in The Ardgour, it has a lovely view and is just a little bit romantic.

We are so pleased that you are planning to return and we very much look forward to seeing you both again. If you can manage a winter break the wood burning stove makes the whole house very cosy, keep an eye on our website for our Winter Offer.

Stopping at Fort William to climb Ben Nevis, we were fortunate to have reserved the Huntingtower Lodge for two nights. This was a real find, absolutely the finest B&B we have ever experienced.

Our room was on the ground floor with a stunning view of the loch and the mountains beyond, as well as closeup views of the myriad songbirds flocking to the feeding stations set up in the garden. Binoculars are at each window ready for birding or distant views, A full library of books and maps is on offer in the spacious, comfortable sitting room.

Every detail, down to the luxurious bed linens, made this a most special place, but the main attractions are the proprietors,Chris and Jackie. They are the perfect congenial hosts, serving tea to tired travelers and scrumptious full breakfasts, providing excellent advice on local restaurants and sights, and amazingly, driving us up to the base of BenNevis the first morning, then downtown that evening to a restaurant, and to the train station the next day.

Wish we had booked for much much longer! No, we didn't make it to the top of Ben Nevis -- maybe next time, when we are sure to stay again with Jackie and Chris.

Thank you Daniel G for your very kind review. We are always happy to give lifts to our guests who are travelling by public transport. What a good thing that you failed in your attempt to climb Ben Nevis because now you will have to return to Fort William. Hast ye back, Ben Nevis is waiting to be conquered!

Lovely B&B with very welcoming hosts. Jackie offered to dry our wet cycling clothes, even stuffing our shoes with newspaper. Delicious breakfasts with much more choice than is usually available in small B&Bs, ranging from a healthy power smoothie to a full Scottish. Our room had a great view of the loch and we could watch lots of little birds in the garden too. Bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed.

My wife and I stayed at The Huntingtower Lodge in July this year when we climbed Ben Nevis. We reserved the Waterfall Suite so we could have a luxury base for our climbing efforts. Our expectations were high after reading the glowing references in TripAdvisor and I'm happy to say that the owners, Jackie & Chris Clifford, ensured we were not in the least bit disappointed. The Waterfall suite is 4 large rooms, a lounge, a bedroom, a bathroom and a dressing room. All are modern and beautiful with natural wood finish and large skylights. The king size bed is very comfortable and the shower is powerful and consistently hot. Jackie & Chris are perfect hosts with excellent local knowledge and very willing to help you in any way they can, from lending you local documents to phoning restaurants for you to book a table. We loved our stay at Huntingtower Lodge and will certainly be returning, I can't wait.

We stayed at this wonderful B & B for two nights in June in the suite which was spotless, has its own entrance, and the view over Loch Linnhe is stunning. Chris and Jackie were excellent hosts who guided us to the tourist attractions and nearby restaurants.
