Mary is the best host ever. Lovely house and area. Very clean, very welcoming. Have stayed here every year for past 10-11 years. Would recommend to anyone. Nothing is too much trouble for Mary...

We spent a delightful 2 nights at Innishfree in August. We only wish we had booked to stay longer. Mary was the perfect hostess, and gave us great advice on what to see and how to save money on our travels. The quality of the accommodation was exceptiona and the breakfast superb. We would confidently recommend Mary's accommodation as one of the best in the UK.

Wonderful facilities. Huge bedroom with ensuite. Quiet location. Recommend dining at The Moorings Hotel with a walk along Neptune's Staircase.
Delicious breakfast. Mary is a charming and friendly hostess.

Mary made us very welcome at Innishfree during our recent family vacation. She cooks up a terrific breakfast with lots of selection. She also gave us some great recommendations of things in the area - absolutely loved seeing the Pipe Band in town. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Views of Ben Nevis are beautiful! Thanks for everything!

we spent 2 nights at Mary's beautiful house in May on our way to Skye, we had travelled by train but only a 10 minute 45/46 bus ride away from town centre. Quite simply the best b&b ever stayed in, room and decor superb, breakfast perfect, views of BNevis breath-taking, what more can we say.

Mary's a wonderful woman- and so is her B&B: Rooms, Breakfast, Service: You feel like a princess at Innishfree. Everything's made with so much love. You're very lucky to be a guest in that house.

If you don't want a warm welcome from a truly friendly and gregarious landlady, you don't want to stay in a very well presented, spotlessly clean and homely B and B and you don't want a superb choice of breakfast served in a very pleasant conservatory setting then I suppose the Innishfree isn't for you. Go and stay in a boring unfriendly hotel or B and B elsewhere !

The weather might have been dismal and wet at times during our stay but Mary ' Queen of Scots' Mclean made it feel like the sun was shining all the time. Her warmth, friendliness and dare I say 'scottish humour' was a real treat and made our stay a most enjoyable one. She made us feel as if we were almost members of her own family.

The B and B is situated a mile or two out of town but has a pleasant riverside location and is only a short walk ( 20 mins or so ) into town. If you have transport of your own it is just a few minutes drive and is ideally located for access to other areas around Fort William eg. Ben Nevis, Glen Nevis, Neptunes Steps on the Caledonian Canal, The Jacobite Express to Mallaig....

There are only three guest rooms so if you prefer a bit of rest and relaxation then you can get it here. There is a roomy lounge with large screen TV if you are able to resist the lure of the great outdoors and there are armchairs in the conservatory which is an ideal spot for a bit of reading if you prefer.

There are no strict rules of the house etc. to spoil your stay ( other than strictly no smoking of course ) and you can come and go as you please,

I would definitely recommend that you stay at the Innishfree. I am sure we will do again.
