We only stayed at the Myrtle Bank one night, when we went to Ft William to take the steam train to Maelig. Wish we could have stayed longer. The Myrtle Bank is very charming with a beautiful garden and colorful flowers. We had a lovely room with very comfortable beds, a gorgeous view of the water, and en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was exceptionally good too. They offered a great selection of fresh fruit along with the cooked foods, and I had been craving this. Before our visit we got some very helpful advice from the owner, who was very kind to us during our stay as well. All in all, a perfect stay.

Room Tip: The rooms in the front of the building do have an incredible view, so do get one of these if they ar...

Stayed here one Sunday in August in a 'master ensuite with views'. Surprised to find that while labelled as 'guest house', Myrtle Bank is actually two houses and comprises quite a few rooms across the two properties. We were very happy with our room - really spacious and view across the road to the loch and hills. Beautiful and colourful gardens. Fantastic old houses with wonderful wooden staircases. Large bathroom with a good shower cubicle rather than shower over bath. Breakfast was very efficient, although the table was cluttered with place settings for four. Each of the houses has its own breakfast room with about three or four tables, with large windows looking out across the road to the loch. One downside was that our room was right next door to a shared bathroom used by those staying in non-ensuite rooms. This meant some disturbance from the extractor fan being on and doors opening and closing just near the wall where our bed was. While the location of Myrtle Bank is very good for walking into town, and the room itself was comfortable, if you are looking for a warm & friendly B&B type experience, this is not what Myrtle Bank provides. It's more like a small hotel, efficiently run, but without the caring, chatty owners and attention to hosting you. If you're the type of people who like to be left to their own devices, this will suit you very well. Tip - do book ahead for dinner at the nearby seafood restaurant just a few minutes walk from Myrtle Bank - Crannog Seafood Restaurant. During the night we stayed the A82 was closed at night for roadwork, so can't comment on whether traffic would have affected our sleep! The next day we drove out to Glen Nevis to then walk to Steall Waterfall - highly recommended!

We stayed here on the night before a week's hike up the Great Glen Way. Our room was large and clean with a nice shower and a gorgeous view. The hotel is just past the main town, so was quiet at night, but not too far to walk to. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, a great start to our hiking holiday.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for 4 nites and we loved it. We were sad to leave. The service was great. The staff were brilliant. The room was lovely and the views were lovely. And it was not to far from anything like the town and some nice walks. I would love to go back when we next get the chance. Lovely holiday we had:-)

This place was clean and comfortable, plenty of hot water and in a great location. I wouldn't go as far as some reviews do in saying it is something it is not, make sure you get a room that suits you, ours had no bedside table (handy for putting a brew on), I had to move the kettle onto the step between room and bathroom to find a plug and the toilet paper was very thin. Also for £80 I would expect a nice meaty sausage for breakfast! Of all the B&B's we stayed in on our trip across Scotland (5) it was the most expensive and I ranked it number 3.

Room Tip: As I said, make sure you ask what your room includes. and the front rooms have the lovely view of th...

Stayed here with my husband and a friend when they were doing the 10 under the Ben race. First impressions; it's a gorgeous looking building from the outside. There's parking available behind the two houses.

Check in was quick and simple where we were given our keys and information about breakfast times etc. We had a double room on the ground floor with a beautiful bay window overlooking the loch. Our friend was in the room next door and between us we shared a bathroom. This worked well for us but if that's not for you, en-suite rooms are available.

Bed, big and comfy. Room, lovely and warm. Breakfast, good and plentiful.

We will book to stay here again if/when we come back to Fort William, without a doubt.

What a fantastic guest house! Great location, great views and friendly staff. We had one of the premium rooms which was perfect (Better than most 4 star hotels that we have stayed in). Immaculate and nicely decorated with a lovely view over the loch. The gardens are also a delight (the pictures do not do them justice). Breakfast was superb and freashly cooked meaning the staff were more than happy to adjust as required. Overall outstanding.
