“Why go anywhere else?”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

If you are looking for comfortable and clean accommodation with a lovely warm welcome from your hosts, this is the place to come. Add to that, there are stunning views of Ben Nevis from the conservatory where you will enjoy a superb breakfast, while watching the ducks have their breakfast. It is ideally placed near Fort William but away from busy traffic etc. With the Caledonian canal at the bottom of the garden, a walk before breakfast is possible.

Hi to you both, Thanks for writing your review. It was good to see you again. Especially as you were re-visiting special places from your Lands End to John O'Groats walk a few years ago. Belated congratulations on completing this adventure. We really enjoyed your company and catching up with things as so many changes to all our lives had happened since our last meeting. Wishing you all the best Glenys Iain and Beja

Glenshian is a lovely bed and breakfast with an amazing view. It overlooks the top of Neptune's staircase on the Caledonian canal with a view of Ben Nevis, second to none. If that wasn't enough the welcome is warm and the breakfast excellent. If you are lucky BJ (spaniel) may be around. Iain and Glenys are lovely hosts. We have stayed a number of times and enjoyed them all.

Room Tip: Heather is a family room. All rooms are quiet.

Hi Janine. Thank you for writing your review. It is much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed walking the Great Glen and earning your certificate. See you again next year with the Healey if its slight re-build goes ahead and doesn't cost too much. Regards Glenys Iain and not forgetting Beja.

While the bedroom was on the smaller side, the large living and sun rooms were available to guests and provided ample room to read, watch TV and relax. A lovely, well cared for garden with a path leading to an interesting walkway alongside the canal. An excellent breakfast with plenty of choice was provided by our hosts, Ian and Glynnis.

Just what other reviewers have said. A perfect B&B in a perfect location. Would not consider staying anywhere else in Fort William. We were starting a cycle tour and it proved to be a great place for arriving with bikes by train (Banavie) and then setting off with a hearty breakfast the next morning.

Stayed here 19th Sept 2013. The guest house is spotless and the owners Ian and Glynnis are wonderful hosts. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. Beds very comfy. The view from the back garden in the conservatory is stunning. The canal, boats and ducks add to the beauty. I highly recommend this guest house. The breakfast was lovely and filling.

Stayed here at the start of our walk along the Great Glen Way, fantastic location on the route with views of Ben Nevis. Very clean and modern, the owners were very friendly. Had an excellent sleep due to the comfortable bed and quiet location. Guests have the use of a very nice lounge and conservatory. The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day's walk. The owners advised us where we could get an evening meal, I would definitely recommend this guest house, one of the best I have stayed in.
