We found this by chance looking for a B&B on the spot, we had stopped at a couple of horrors but the minute I walked into the hallway and was greeted by Stuart and his happy welcome I immediately knew it would be nice. The room was spot on, the house is lovely and they have everything just right. Lorna was so lovely at breakfast and we have never seen so much food on the buffet table! A lovely house and couple, and Stuart's free tourist info service and hand drawn maps are brilliant!

This is a lovely B&B in a great location. We stayed for 2 nights and Lorna and Stewart were extremely helpful in providing us with ideas for exploring Scotland-down to hand-drawn maps. The room was immaculate and we felt truly welcome.

Very comfortable bed; lots of instant hot water; light and airy room; quiet location; excellent choice of breakfast very well prepared and presented; stunning views; very handy for the town centre and for Ben Nevis / Glen Nevis. The quality of service from Lorna and Stewart is top notch. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We had two rooms, rooms 2 and 3 and both were excellent.

From the warmest welcome from lorna on arrival to our departure two days later we could not fault our stay . The room was spacious very clean and had every thing you could need plus lots of extras the extension cables with lots of extra sockets very thoughtful there is never enough And although majn road out side were not disturbed by traffic. The view over the loch from our room at the front was wonderful lovely to sit ( in one of two chairs in room) watching the sky change over the distant hills in late evening . Breakfast was fantastic with so much choice and delicious . Very handy for walking the short distance into town along the loch and plenty of parking where we were able to leave our car all day whilst making a trip on the Jacobite railway .
Would highly recommend you stay if you are planning a trip to fort William .

Lovely setting overlooking the Loch and only a short walk into town.
Our room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely big en suite bathroom. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection to choose from and set us up nicely for the day ahead. Enjoyed our two nights stay and would stay again.

This was a wonderful B&B. Having stayed in many many great hotels in Scotland this was my first ever B&B experience and I was a bit apprehensive. Seriously - the service outstripped some hotels that charge much much more!! Lorna & Stewart were so very friendly and accommodating. From booking by email to the goodbye with a smile they were fabulous hosts. The bedroom was really nice and big enough but cosy at the same time with very nice clean bathroom. The breakfasts, well - very good I have to say. For me one of the major elements was the catering for my gluten free diet. There are many hotels in Scotland than just say, sorry can't do that. Buccleuch had two kinds of breads, muffins and biscuits in my room - now that I have never had before so top marks for attention to detail !!

All in all - thank you so much, and please do try this place - right on the loch it really is a superb location in Fort William and I can honestly say that I don't think there can be a much nicer place to stay around Fort William than Buccleuch. Don't think about it - DO IT !!!

Room Tip: If you really do want a great room with a view, get one at the front for loch view - but they are al...

This is what a B&B should be. We are 2 couples who stayed for 3 nights as a base for exploring the Highlands. The location was excellent, just a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops and the view from the front of the B&B was magnificent. Lorna and Stewart were exceptional in providing advice and directions, very nice people. The room was large with a big bathroom, much more than we expected. The breakfasts were excellent as well and there was plenty of on-site parking. There is a good sized sitting room were we could unwind after a day of driving and seeing the sights.

If we ever come back to Ft. William, we will stay here again.
