We stayed middle of Feb 2017 for a week and had a great time. The first two nights were a bit chilly in what was a very cold East wind ...later in the week a shopkeeper informed me they had just bought a hot water bottle themselves so I suspect it was an unusually biting wind etc Rest of the week the house was almost too hot really after we refined the art of the wood burning stove and actually hardly used it rest of the week.
Cold winds also brought sunny clear days and the views were stunning from all vantage points, there are neighbours near by but the property is out a bit on it's own, right at the waters edge - first thing each morning was very peaceful and quiet with a just a coffee the views and nearby geese, ducks and the odd oyster catcher.
The place has all the comfort I wished for, the owner is very much in the background which I usually like but feel a more comprehensive arrival pack would really help with settling in.
Stayed at Gairlochy Bay for a couple of days in July 2015. Met our expectations. Nice wooden chalet. Clean, comfortable and peaceful.
