“Beautiful dining room and good meal”
Reviewed 30 June 2009

I am pleased that I did not read the reviews of this restaurant before dining there, as if I had we probably would have chosen a different restaurant from the very limited offerings in Fort Williams. This restaurant is located just off the main business street. We were initially attracted to the unique exterior and after peeking in the window we decided to give it a try. The dining room is beautiful, the service was excellent, and the food was very good.

“A pleasant lunch”
Reviewed 23 June 2009

We were on our way North towards Skye and had lunch here. Fort William did not seem over whelmed with choice -- if one wants to avoid fast food / fish & chips. One burger meal, and one soup and a sandwich was pleasant enough. Finding the establishment was not simple; the council will not allow a sign board, and then obliterate sight lines by running a market.

“Absolute waste of money-appalling”
Reviewed 30 May 2009

Would not hurry back to this restuarant, was served by the most unfriendly waitress who looked as though we were wasting her time when placing an order and asking about specials... When the food eventually did arrival it was appalling..
£15.95 Seabass with Mushroom risotto arrived looking a little worse for wear...the 'mushroom risotto' was nothing more then sticky overdone in the microwave white rice in a lump in the middle of the plate, the fish was bland and it was dressed with only what can be described as a cold soupy curry looking sauce with no flavour whatsoever, bones found through the sea bass...it was a HUGE disappointment.
The Balmoral Chicken I think they called it was dry and tasteless....the veg served were over done and all you could taste was warm microwaved water when you bit into a carrot..

We were not asked once if the meal was OK, and when we asked for the bill the waited grabbed the money before it was barely on the table and walked away not saying a word as we got up to leave, or asking if we wanted our change (not much anyway)....

Total waste of money that left a bad taste in my mouth for the evening. Never ever go to this place, it is a disaster!

“Great if you want a change from sea food”
Reviewed 18 April 2009

We had a really good meal here. It's not particularly a seafood retsaurant, which some will like. We found the food had something special about it and although it's not the cheapest it was a great meal.
