Stayed in the Stronchreggan View Guest House with my son after completing the West Highland Way on Friday 12th April 2013. Excellent guesthouse with views to die for. Room was spotless and breakfast was lovely. Graeme and Bronwen are great hosts to the extent that Graeme gave us a lift into the train station at the end of our stay which was a terrific gesture. My second time staying there and will definitely stay there again when I next do the WHW

Just got back from the Stronchreggan View Guest House in Fort WIlliam. Hoists Graeme & Bronwen were great and very happy to help with all the local information. The property is a steady 15mins walk into the town centre, the views from the hosue were breathtaking across lock linnhe. Our room was very clean and their is a shared lounge with views across the lock, you are more than welcome to take your own bottle or two and they are please to open it for you and you can sit and relax and enjoy the views. Breakfast was mouth watering with fresh fruit, yougart, cereals and a full scottish fry up!!!!! or a continental breakie if yoy wanted.

Thanks go out to both the hoists for making our short break special,we are both looking forward to going back in the new year or if not before.

We had an excellent stay at the Stroncheggan View Guest House last year. It was our second guest house, travelling through Scotland and one of our favorites. The view was fantastic and the owners helpful and charming. They gave us plenty information about the surroundings, we made a tour to the Steall Falls by foot and it was just gorgious. Like a little piece of paradise after a adventure walking there, climbing over rocks and small water falls.
The guest house is located on the main road to Fort William and beautifully situated at the loch. We stayed here for two nights in a room at the front of the house, so we had the benefit of the view of the loch. We saw the rain coming over the mountains with some rainbows. Now that's a view to wake up to.
The room was clean, modern and a good size. The ensuite bathroom was clean too and up-to-date. The beds were excellent, had a good nights rest. There was a flatscreen tv and a facility to make coffee and tea.
Bronwen asked us whether we would like the continental breakfast or the Scotish cooked breakfast. We chose bravely for the cooked breakfast and it was plenty and very tasty. Especially loved the mushrooms and the eggs.
Fort William is a small but lovely town, we did some shopping for souvenirs there and bought myself a tartan scarf.
We were sorry to leave this guest house, but our journey went on. Bronwen and her husband were great hosts and a good source of information.
Should we ever return, we will definitely come back to the Stroncheggan View Guest House.

When you read this report, you need to know I was travelling on a motorcycle so needed secure off road parking and the accommodation needed to be close to a pub, bar or town centre to get a meal at night and I was only staying for one night before moving on, so with this in mind read on.

Located on the main road just outside Fort William to the south and very easy to find, I was made very welcome when I got there, with tea and coffee available downstairs in the guest lounge, which has stunning views over the loch. A bit of a walk into town but its flat and you cannot get lost  Lots of places to eat in Fort William catering for all tastes, in fact to many to mention.

My room had a private bathroom the trouble was that it was along the landing, but there was a robe provided to cover my modesty . The room was on the smaller side but OK for one night. Breakfast was fine with a good selection to go at.

There is secure parking with security, so I can recommend this to any motorcyclist.

All in all it was a good place to stay and I will use it again but I would want a en-suit room. Thanks for reading

My friends and I recently stayed here for the 3rd time while making our annual trip the Isle of Mull. We have always been made to feel extremely welcome here and this time even though we had a large party of guests the owners made every allowance for us. The location is fantastic and they have a great knowledge of the surrounding area.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, in fact we hope to be back at the same time next year.

There was nothing wrong with this property, but compared to other B&Bs we've stayed in recently (see recent B&B reviews for Ireland), there was nothing that made this one stand out as being special.

We stayed in Room 3 which is on the second floor at the top of the stairs. The room is furnished with one double bed, one single bed, a wardrobe with 10 hangers and an extra blanket, a three drawer chest, two nightstands, a coffee/tea service and a 24” (approximately) LCD TV with a fairly extensive channel selection.

The bathroom has a shower only, two very large and thick bath towels, one hand towel and no wash cloths. The top of the commode is the only place to put toiletries. There are no amenities in the bathroom; soap is in dispensers over the sink and in the shower stall.

The full Scottish breakfast was ample. Bronwen likes the guests to be seated between 8 and 8:30. The house has a large, and well-appointed, sitting room on the front with a large picture window looking out over the lock. There’s also a big screen LCD TV there.

Free wifi is offered but it’s a pain to use. There are different routers for each floor and they have limited range (for example, I had to use the first floor wifi in either the breakfast room or standing at a table in the hall – it didn’t work in the sitting room). The wifi is password protected with a different password for each floor and each password is probably close to 20 characters long. To make matters worse, Bronwen has to “push a button” after which one only has 10 minutes to log on. Adding insult to injury, my computer didn’t retain the password, so another log-on would have been required if I’d wanted to go through the exercise again.

The owners are the parents of two teens (maybe pre-teens) so there is the distraction of getting them out the door for school in the morning and the usual nagging to do homework in the late afternoons. As a result it didn’t appear that Bronwen had as much time to chat up the guests as other B&B proprietors without children in the home. We never met Graeme.

The house is located on the road entering town if one is coming from the west. This road is lined with B&Bs.

I’ve attached photos of the room.

If you’ve found this review helpful I will appreciate a Yes vote below.

Room Tip: If the room isn't en suite you'll be using the bathroom on the second floor.
