the moorings was a lovely place to stay , the view from the window of the loch and mountains was fantastic. ( WOW !! ) the Eco friendly holiday home we stayed in was beautifully presented ,and we were made to feel very welcome by chris ( the owner) .if you want an amazing view from your sitting room window , we highly recommend staying at the moorings . we loved it and would stay again .

“Second visit and despite a week of rain already booked for 2019. House and Hosts Perfect.”

Second time staying with Chris & Da at the Moorings. Eco house that thinks of every.thing tastefully furnished . Immaculate throughout with views to die for and a comfortable bed. Planned to go walking most days but unfortunately after first couple of days it rained heavily. Still had a good time visiting places like the seal sanctuary outside Oban and the craft shops in Bachaluish then coming back to the moorings to relax. Already booked for next year when hopefully we will get better weather. Hosts are brilliant very friendly and knowledgeable without being intrusive in any way . I said before if I could give it a ten I would that statement still stands.

What an amazing stay we had. It was booked as present for my husband's birthday. Perfect setting. The views are amazing...pictures really don't do it justice. The house was perfect for us and was a beautiful setting to relax and the town a walkable distance. We were made very welcome by Chris and Da. We felt very much at home. We hope to visit again, we would definitely like to stay again.

Thank you!!

Claire and Dave

Great from start to finish. Warm welcome from Chris and Da upon arrival. Wonderfully contemporary accommodation with a staggering view from the living room window. Great facilities. Everything you might need Inc private patio and gas bbq. And Chris also allowed us to use the private beach area just across the road where you can relax in peace with a bottle of prosecco and watch the sun go down. This is a fabulous place to stay to explore the wonderful mountains and other great things in the Fort William area.

We found Chris the owner very friendly and helpful on our arrival and made us feel very welcome. The property is modern, roomy and open plan which was very clean on arrival and well appointed. Kitchen had everything that we needed. Proximity to the amenities in Fort William within walking distance or a couple of minutes in a car. The views across the lock were fantastic due to the whole front of the house being glass. Being a mountain rescuer Chris was very knowledgeable about the the local walks and area, we found this very useful in our accent of Ben Nevis in quite challenging conditions. We would highly recommend this property and will be back in the future. Thank you Chris.

Thanks Michelle, the Ben can be tricky if the weather turns even in summer so it’s always worth checking the weather, but what a mountain when she shows her glory to us.
Equally the hidden glens and lochs offer a great day out when it rains or gets windy.
