“Brilliant!”
Reviewed 5 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Stayed with my wife, sister and brother in law. Fantastic location on the loch, amazing facilities. Just perfect for a hassle free get away in the hills. Close to Fort William and Ben Nevis. Great service.

“the view is unique!”
Reviewed 13 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

we stayed three nights at heron bay. the cottage is nice and spacious. minus was definetly teh cleanliness of the kitchen: both doors from microwave and oven were dirty from the inside (splashes, fat, etc), and the oven tray hat thick dark pieces on it ... we would have given five stars in total if the cleaning would be better! you pay for the unbelievable view - it´s just fantastic to see the sunrise over the bay from your bed, and the sunset from the dining table. beds etc are of high quality. to keep the standard, some maintenance should be started, e.g. windows / doors don´t open/close very well. for self-caterers: if you like to buy fresh seafood and / or beef / meat, go for morrisons in fort william, the tesco in the pedestrian area has only packed stuff. one more "pro" for heron bay: you are a little bit outside of the touristy center. even though you are still very close to the main road with heavy traffic, it seems to be much quieter than the other B&B´s closer to the centre, directly in the first line to the main road. so: great stay, great views, cleanliness to be improved.

“Beautifully finished cabins,”
Reviewed 20 June 2016 for a stay in January 2014

We stayed here on our honeymoon way back in April 2008. The cabin was beautifully finished to a really high standard and the owners couldn't have been more friendly of accommodating. We love that corner of the world - from a location perspective, they are 5 minutes into Fort William from where you can access umpteen scenic locations and activities, yet you can still retire here to the peace and quiet to sit on the deck and watch the sun go down.
Glencoe is 15 minutes or so in the other direction, as is Kinlochleven, again, full of breathtaking scenery. My personal favourite is the view from the Corran Ferry (5 mins away). From there you can get out onto Ardnamurchan. And if you are intrepid enough and get your logistics and timings right, you can make your way onto Mull.
Superb accommodation for those who love the outdoors, bird and wildlife watching or just sitting back, switching off and letting the world go by.

The facilities especially the bathrooms are brilliant.
Very comfortable and clean.
I would definitely recommend it, although you do need a car.
