3 star rating due to the awkward layout of the hotel and rooms in relation to bringing luggage from the car park, lots of stairs and small corridors. Single room was perfectly adequate with a good size shower room, decor dated but everything was extremely clean. Noise was an issue as soundproofing between rooms and the corridor is poor - I could hear several conversations word for word through the walls. I am sure my snoring would have kept them awake also!

Breakfast was very good and nice friendly staff at reception/breakfast room. Note to whoever types the breakfast menu - Stornoway not Stornaway! Sorry but us islanders get a bit annoyed if you misspell our town.

I think the location is good and can walk around the village etc easily from the hotel. Huge carpark so plenty of parking.

Would stay here again to break up my journey as thought the price was very good for what I got.

Room Tip: Ground floor to avoid all the small stairways + towards the rear of the hotel as easier to get luggage to and from vehicles in the carpark.

We stayed just one night here 1.8. as part of a hiking group traveling around the highlands. We arrived rather late to the hotel, all clothes soaked after a long walk(18km) in the rain. We were a bit tired upon arriving. I recall the room and food were both decent.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The staff was extremely hospitable. It is a quaint town. Wherever we visited within. The town the people were very friendly. It is close enough to the Isle of Skye you can make day trips to many places. The hotel restaurant also has nice dinners. As with many hotels in Scotland breakfast was included with our stay. The only small downside is the parking lot is a bit small. You can find parking on the street if needed

Doing a tour of Scotland so went here because it was near to Skye and describes itself as 'A Bespoke Hotel'. Out of several hotels we stayed in, this was by far the worst and the most expensive. The bedrooms are at the back down a long narrow corridor with paper thin walls and ceilings, the furniture was extremely dated, beds uncomfortable and bedding needed replacing. The whole building needs updating and when the locals have their poker night they are up and down the corridor to the car park for a smoke and leaving later so no chance of an early night.. The breakfast wast the only saving grace with one of the waiters working hard.

Stayed only one night arrived half hour before check-in, rather brusquely told. Come back I’m 30 minutes. Receptionist lacked warmth and manners.
Room adequate twin room, no real view. It is what it is. Simple warm room. Limited facilities and no help for luggage etc. Staff very perfunctory at check in and appeared to be just going through the process. Considering this is tourist area and Scotland known for its warm hospitality certainly not the case.
On the other side of the coin, at Restaurant Graham was very warm and helpful with a sense of humour, so hold on to him he is your asset.
Food good, not big menu but only small hotel. No ice bucket for white wine? Breakfast good also assisted by Graham. All I can say really.
