Hidden away in the Mountains of Kintail in the Scottish Highlands are the most amazing waterfalls within the British Isles. A 3 hour walk from the hamlet of Morvich, you walk through unsurpassed scenery, with lots of history. The Falls drop precariously for nearly 700 feet and you can actually walk down beside them for a hundred feet or so, to a viewing ledge that beats the Niagara Falls hands down. The power, noise and setting are capable of transfixing the viewer and overwhelming the senses. Forget about Yosemite and other great wilderness areas of the world......this is the real thing. Get on your hiking boots, take a packed lunch and just enjoy, you won't be disappointed. The National Trust for Scotland have done a great job on maintaining the mountain paths and are to be congratulated on making the Falls accessible to the brave.
