This lovely house is down a very quite country lane, so peaceful. Liz could not do enough for us from very early breakfasts to a nightcap and chat in the lounge at night. I have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to stay. We stayed for a week and wished it had been longer. Her home made short cake is wonderful! The four of us felt have stayed in oodles of B&Bs and this has to be one of the very best.

We have just returned from a two night stay at this idyllic retreat., and cannot praise it highly enough. The peaceful location, five minutes walk from beach, golf course and ten to town centre, was ideal. The owners have long experience at the top end of the hospitality business, and have put all they have learned into making their up-market guest house a welcoming home-from-home. Nothing is too much trouble for Liz, the proprietress, whose calm demeanor and smiling face make the guest feel like an old friend. The house is scrupulously clean, tastefully decorated, and furnished and equipped to hotel standard. A welcome tray in the bedroom, complete with a small, stylish flask of chilled fresh milk - so much nicer than the usual fiddly, little plastic cartons- is provided for guest tea and coffee, along with delicious home baking. A flat screen tv, divinely comfortable bed, sparkling soft white pillows and duvet, stunning and huge bathroom with Crabtree & Evelyn bath goodies, all ensure a good, relaxing stay. Guests have their own lounge for telly viewing or curling up with a good book. Then there's Liz's muti-choice breakfast - including her freshly made, to-die-for soda bread. The problem is, you want to try everything as it is all locally produced, beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. The only down side to the experience is having to say goodbye and drive off, back to reality!

Boys golf trip to Nairn, following change of plan due re air travel - Sandown House was a true find for us - great location just two mins from Nairn GC, and also on the right side of town for Castle Stuart, just a few mins drive also. Andy and Liz both very knowledgable about the local area, golf, and fantastic hosts - we have already booked for later in the summer, when I understand they will have some extra rooms available. Top quality accomodation !
