The house is compact but very well equipped with everything you could possibly need to self-cater comfortably. It is warm! Its location 100 yards from the fabulous beach with rock pools and miles of golden sand makes it pretty much unbeatable for a family with young children. It's only a 10 minute walk from the High Street and you can find everything you need within walking distance if you don't hire a car. We had a wonderful week in Nairn despite less than ideal weather and being able to a well maintained, comfy house was a real blessing. The owner's mother lives just around the corner and she couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed and that everything went smoothly. Will very definitely consider renting this property again in the future.

This was our first visit to Dolphin Cottage and the whole family were delighted. Not only was the house clean, cosy and well-equipped, with extra touches of milk, coffee and other supplies, but it was extremely roomy with plenty of space for everyone and with very comfortable beds. Being situated next to the beach, playparks and putting green and within easy walking distance of the shops, there was no need to use our car during the entire stay. We highly recommend Dolphin Cottage where you, too, will be given a very friendly welcome when you arrive.

We (family of three) stayed for 2 weeks in the Dolphin view Cottage and enjoyed it very much. The house is in a great location - sea view from the master bedroom, what more can you ask for :-). The facilities are great, kitchen, TV, internet access, everything was all right. The booking process and the communication with the owners was very easy and straight forward, could not have been better. Nairn is definitely worth a visit, even in wintertime, a loverly little town. Pubs, shops and restaurants are in walking distance from the cottage. For Hogmanay we went to Inverness, there's a big public event each year at the Northern meeting park with a big stage and live music and thousands of people celebrating - what a great night. Luckily on that night it didn't rain and the temperature was reasonable.

Dolphin View Cottage is in Fishertown, the old part of Nairn near the harbour with lots of interesting lanes and twisty routes through. It faces across a grassy area to the beach and we did see dolphins in the Moray Firth. There is even a pair of binoculars on the windowsill if you want a closer view. We were out and about during the day as there are lots of interesting places nearby, and also enjoyed evening walks along the beach. The cottage was well equipped, very clean, and everything worked. The beds were very comfortable. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by a neighbour who looks after the cottage. There was space for one car directly on the property, and there was also plenty of nearby parking for extra cars. The owner was very helpful while we were booking and clearly takes a pride in the property.

Been going to Dolphin view twice a year for a number of years and love it. The house is lovely and clean in a great location for beach and walks and views over the moray firth.
Would definitely recommend the house. Good base for exploring the highlands.
