We stayed here for three nights over the weekend of the Highland Games in Nairn. The hotel was well placed to walk into the town and to the seafront, as well as to the golf course. The very pretty hotel gardens lead directly onto the beach. Our room was comfortable, very clean and quiet. The room was a little on the small side (we stayed in Viewfield), but we were not there other than to sleep and shower! The breakfast room was beautiful, with views onto the gardens and the ocean. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. All in all we would recommend this guest house to others.

Room Tip: There are ground floor rooms which would be good for people with walking difficulties as there is no...

We stayed 3 nights in a ground floor room facing the sea. The room was spectacular with a four posted very comfortable bed. A very large room and large bathroom. We were very happy with everything. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The dining room was large and airy. We don't usually like a buffet breakfast but the food was excellent and the hosts were only too ready to do "eggs" any way you wanted. The hosts provided us with a list of restaurants available in the local area and this was very helpful. We had 3 great meals in these establishments. There was plenty of room for parking. Everything was very clean and well maintained.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the sea to enjoy the view.

First time I stayed here was in April 2000 and I thought it was excellent. The next time was in July 2012 and my opinion has not changed. We had a ground floor Firthside room overlooking the Moray Firth. This large room and its ensuite were spotlessly clean and comfortable and in keeping with the standards set by the owners. Plenty of smiling faces at checkout.

The Invernairne Hotel is tucked away a quarter of a mile or so from downtown Nairn and close to the beach. The building is spotless and charming. There is ample parking in front and the grounds are immaculate. The room was functional if a bit small. There is a charming bar that feels clubby and comfy. The breakfast room is lovely and there is a nice selection of food. It's a self-service breakfast and very relaxed. The fare seemed about right for the accommodation and the staff was more than welcoming.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the building have a great view of the water.

Friendly check in. Room (top tarif) was basic and on the small side. Did not like the bathroom -had public toilet style tissue dispenser and a bathroom cupboard on wheels that reminded me of a hospital/hospice. Breakfast was disappointing. More of a buffet style so the sausages were overcooked and stiff. Friendly staff however made up for the poor breakfast and average room. Bar was closed due to renovation which were not highlighted of prior to stay and no discount to tariff offered. Garden access to the beach promenade was a nice touch. Overall - left disappointed and slightly ripped off.

My husband and I had a weekend trip to the seaside with our 2 year old granddaughter . The Invernairne more than lived up to our expectations. We had a sea veiw ensuite room with ajoining room with cot for our grandaughter .It was well furnished ,clean with a comfortable double bed.Breakfast was very good .The owners work very hard to please and run a frienly very pleasant house. Great access to gardens and beach .Great value for money.

Room Tip: Go for a sea veiw room
