We felt like we were coming home at the end of each day's wandering among the distilleries. The rooms are more than comfortable. The food at the restaurant was some of the best I have ever had anywhere. Ian, Sylvia and John are the greatest. I would go back to Scotland just to stay at Sunny Brae.

Room Tip: Upstairs facing the sea gives you a beautiful view.

My wife had booked this hotel as a surprise get away weekend break for me as we had been on the beach in Nairn just a couple of months before and both said we would like to return as it was always a place we went through on the way to somewhere else but never stopped.

And am I glad we did and that we stayed at this Hotel with Ian and his family. From the very warm welcome and strong handshake on arrival to the room which was superbly appointed with glorious views. Then down to the restaurant for a meal and I can honestly say that I have not ever had venison that tasted as good and I have eaten it in quite a few place and the rest of the meal was just as impressive. It is very true that a little of something cooked very well is better than alot of something cooked badly. Mind you the portion sizes were just perfect.

I could ramble on also about the breakfast but I can sum this up with just one word. PERFECT. The choice is overwhelming and would cater for everybody and anybody and even my wife who has food allergies was well looked after and given the personal touch.

How Ian and hs family manage to maintain the standard of exceptionally high service over such a long season it beyond me but I am so glad they do.

If you like peace, quiet, tranquility with exceptional service then look no further than this little gem.

My wife and I are already planning another visit next year.

Room Tip: Go for the top room with the view over the beach and beyond. You can laze away many an hour just sit...

I have just had a most enjoyable two night stay with my husband in this hotel. On arrival we were met by Ian, the owner, who made us most welcome, showing us to our room followed by a cup of tea and delicious homemade shortbread served in the lounge. Our good sized room had a great view to the sea was very well appointed and like the entire hotel, spotlessly clean. We dined out both evenings as we were visiting family, but I would have liked to have had dinner if the standard was up to the breakfast which was excellent. There was a large and varied choice to suit everyone, I enjoyed an extremely tasty cooked breakfast with my newspaper to hand, we felt very much at home! There is easy car parking to the front and free wifi throughout the building. We were highly impressed by this lovely, friendly hotel and definitely intend to stay here again on our next trip north.

Room Tip: The hotel is in a quiet area so noise should not be a problem. The rooms to the front offer great se...

We are normally reluctant to wholeheartedly recommend anywhere as people's opinions vary so much, but we really can't imagine anyone not loving the Sunny Brae in Nairn.
The position of the hotel is excellent with wonderful views. It was very clean and comfortable. The food was absolutely outstanding. There was a huge choice for breakfast and a selection of vegetarian choices (not just one) for dinner. The owners couldn't do more to make our stay perfect. Every little extra that you could require was provided - luxury toiletries, huge fluffy towels, bathrobes, water and fruit in the room (we chose a superior room so don't know if that is the case in all rooms), six different teas/coffees/hot chocolate on the tea tray, free Wi-fi which never failed, tv with lots of channels. With all these extras we felt it was excellent value.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have a fabulous view of the Moray Firth

This small family-run hotel in the charming town of Nairn was a delightful surprise. It looks out over the Moray Firth and is very convenient to Inverness and the Loch Ness area. The meals were delicious and the service was impeccable. The rooms were spacious and bright. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.

This was our second visit to the Sunny Brae, having spent 3 nights there last July and knew we would not be disappointed. The accommodation is comfortable, spotlessly clean and with excellent views from the rooms at the front of the house. ian, Sylvia and their family and staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and very professional. The food is freshly prepared, locally sourced and truly delicious. We knew from our last visit that the the wine list was first class and includes an excellent range of wines from Germany but what we didn't know until this visit is that Ian also has a superb collection of single malt whiskies. We manages to try a different one one every night of our stay! This is an excellent little hotel and we would thoroughly reccomend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view food, you won't be disappointed.
