A beautiful name for an unfortunate place. My wife and I planned for our 40th wedding to be both magical and romantic. Instead we spent our weekend dodging uncomfortable conversation and below average food. For the price I payed I expected a little more than awkward words in the lobby and frozen fish. I desperately wanted to try some of Scotland's best whiskeys (my great grandfather was Scottish) and instead felt impelled to drink some lesser known ones by the 'whiskey expert' Iain. All in all, it was a mediocre experience in a mediocre town for a disgustingly high price. I would probably recommend this place to a college student, maybe, seeking thrills on a spring break, or a 'lad's night out'. However, if your weekend or getaway means anything to you, do not choose this place. Unless you enjoy disappointment. One more thing, anywhere that puts recycled seashells on my plate is not a place I would intend to stay within the future. I hope the Sunny Brae will read my comments and make adjustments for the future clients.
