There are unrivalled views over the river and town of Gourock, and a unique war monument to visit close up, a major local landmark

Beautiful place to stop and take in the stunning scenery and views of the Argyllshire hills and beyond!

Great views on a sunny day! Tried a few times following the brown Scottish Tourism signs from different roads, finally made it with the help of a local resident. Worth the effort.

On a clear day this must be one of the best views in Scotland make sure you have camera. The Free French memorial Cross of Lorraine in memory of French armed forces during World War 2 is at location. On a clear day overlooking Gourock pier the firth of Clyde to Dunoon and Gareloch where American naval base was situated for many years. Over to Kilcreggan, Helensburgh, Greenock up to Erskine Bridge. As plenty of cruise liners berth in Greenock, free tours as provided and this stop is one not to be missed.
