“Worth a Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

Whilst visiting Elgin for the weekend we visited this café for lunch. The café is very well set out, with and outside area for dining if preferred. We had soup and panninis which were served with various salad and nicely presented. Main courses and a lovely selection of cakes and scones were also available.

“Good choice for lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 May 2014

I have been here several times for lunch and it's always good food. Not a coffee drinker but apparently it's fine, although the Chai Tea Latte's are nice, better than Costa anyway. Not particularly cheap but you get what you pay for. The place is clean and tidy and staff are friendly, can be busy at lunch time so go early if you can.

“Great Venue in heart of Elgin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014 via mobile

Johnson's Mills is situated in Elgin in Morayshire, NE Scotland. It is a fully functioning woolen mill which has been in operation in this site since 1795 & in all of that time has only ever had 2 owners.....it is a historic place as well as being a major employer in the town of Elgin.

Johnson's has many 1sts credited to it's name including being the first mill ever in the UK to use cashmere & the 1st to use the wool of the Vicuña, a South American animal & the smallest & scarcest member of the camelid family which includes llamas & alpacas.

As well as organized mill yours there is an excellent restaurant on site which serves breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas as well as a huge variety of coffee & teas. All food is home made & delicious. The staff are well trained & both friendly & efficient.

The on site shops are an Alladyn's caves of "treasures" which include clothing, footwear, leather goods, handbags & of course woolen goods of every size, colour, style & description.

If you find yourself in Elgin, please do yourself a favour & pay a visit to this wonderful place......

“In my opinion, worth a visit (21/05/14)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014 via mobile

Went here for lunch, a very good gluten free menu, probably most extensive I have came across for variety. Staff were polite and efficient. The food was of a high standard, definitely worth a visit. Will most certainly return. Had one minor problem which the shop supervisor immediately rectified.

“Good range of baking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014

I now make this my stopping off point on road north from Aberdeen. The staff are always friendly without being too chatty and the choice of baking is always excellent and fresh. The restaurant is always clean and tidy and the outdoor area offers a nice (if small) place to sit. The price is also reasonable even when eating with a family.
