Our initial reaction to the welcome, surroundings and service was excellent. The first disappointment was when we received our soup (french onion) served without bread or topped with cheese as you would expect. The main course was satisfactory but when it came to desserts, two asked for dessert which were eventually served (after being offered to our neighbouring table) and the two coffees requested never arrived. We did not complain as the restaurant was very busy and understaffed. The bill was settled and as we were about to depart out the door the waitress (possibly owner) rushed up to us and announced that she had undercharged by one dessert!! After the blunder with our coffees I would have expected her to forget the £4.75 for the dessert. A most unfortunate end to what could have been a pleasant evening.
