“A warm welcome all round and stunning challenge for any handicap”
Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

A visit from Clan Llangollen to Scotland was nicely completed on Glasgow GAILES
All set up for The Open qualifier. A warm welcome all round. Greens unblemished, even paced and undulating. A club house full of tradition, set in a modern style and the whole experience will not be forgotten.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

Played this course on 9thMay as part of a fourball who were in the area for the weekend. The pro and staff were very friendly and wecoming. The weather was kind and the course is an absolute gem with greens that are just fantastic. Look forward to returning at some point in the future. If you enjoy links golf do not miss this one.

“Shame about the weather”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

The Glasgow Golf Union hold their Seniors Open here every year. Last week was my 5th attempt. With a 3rd, then a 2nd place in the last 2 years, i was hoping to go one better this year. But for the first time Mother Nature was not on our side. High winds and very heavy rain, eventually meant the tournament was abandoned. However I will be back next year!
A true test of golf on a traditional links course, so buy a 'stroke-saver' from the Pro Shot, as you simply MUST avoid the hidden pot bunkers, or a good score is simply unacheiveable. With big lips, you simply have to take your medicine, and play out sideways...or even backwards!Stay well clear of the gorse bushes and the heather, which line most of the holes here too...score wreckers. But get a straight one away and you will feel like a Champion, as the ball runs and runs and runs. Marvellous!!! The greens are simply unbelievably good, especially this early in the year. Get the line right and they will run true. Greenside bunkers have plenty of sand in them, so a properly played splash shot will get you out every time. Food was ok, but served with a smile. Looking forward to next years tournament already!

“Wonderful!!”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Just a wonderful day out!
I was part of a Fourball party visiting from Carlisle on Monday 28th April. We all were very impressed by the standard of the course, service from the clubhouse and courtesy of the green staff.
A special mention to Nick in the pro's shop for his generous welcome and hospitality during our day!
