Love the wee walk over the railwaybridge across the river and then past allotments.... beat that augusta!
Course is flat but hively enjoyable and some holes not as short as youd think.
For an autumn day the greens were in stunning condition.
Nice peaceful setting for a round of golf..especially if you have 241 vouchers.
Would rather play here than the dull forgettable pga centenary course at gleneagles

I reviewed this course earlier in the year and commented on the work done to improve the course.
I played it again last week and , in almost 45 years of playing golf, I have never seen greens so good in October.
Do not miss this course off your schedule if you are in the area.

Played this course during our visit. Did not realise we had to hike over a railway bridge and through allotments but when we got there we were welcomed by a nice staff and a short but enjoyable golf course. Luckily we had a glorious day weather wise.

I'm a member here at Perths little gem. 18 Hole Old Tom Morris course built on an island on the River Tay in the middle of Perth..You will find this a very friendly golf course where you can play a very easy to walk golf course. You can hire golf buggies or trolleys if you don't fancy carrying your clubs. Or if it's lessons your after, these can be booked with the professional. If you fancy a bite to eat. whether it's just a coffee, a pint, or if it's a full meal you fancy then this can be had in the club house. It's maybe a bit of a walk from municipal car park, over the bridge, to the course but once you get there it's worth it and remember it is on an island that's why you have to go over the bridge.

The accessibity of the course is a pain, that's after you find the way in, don't trust your Satnav. Public car park, cross road up steps cross rail bridge, hope no one with golf trolley cones other way, a little tight. Down steps past allotments. Phew. The course was well maintained but with little variety. Can't comment on clubhouse as wasn't prepared to take off golf shoes to enter. Would have enjoyed a pint after the round but walking back to car for change of footwear, would have been prepared if we'd known.
