My boyfriend and I went to MacDonald Arms Hotel for a wee get away and it was awesome. Euan was extremely helpful, welcoming and informative. The room was clean and just what we needed. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again. Thank you Kirsten, but especially Euan.

Come for a 40th birthday party.from the moment we walked through the doors we were made to feel welcome . Kirsten the owner booked us in and showed us to our room. It was very spacious with the best shower I have had the pleasure to use.we ate in the resturant my wife had the dressed haddock and I had the steak pie both were superb but a special mention has to be made for the hand cut chips. Breakfast was great after a heavy night full cooked Scottish . Good value for money and nothing seemed to much trouble for the owners . Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stayed here overnight on a cycling trip. Everything about the stay was great, it's clean, friendly and the food was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and really looked after. This is what all service shout be like. Great value for money too.

Firstly, we have to thank Euan and Kirsten for making us feel so welcome.

Very clean hotel and a wonderful breakfast.

You can't meet nicer people than Kirsten and Euan, it's like chatting to your mates !
Euan even gave us a lift to the Wedding venue, he even has a Fiat 500......

Would recommend this hotel without hesitation, we will be back......................

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while attending the local Rewind Festival, we only enquired about booking 10 days before and were lucky enough to get a cancellation, so glad we did this is a little gem of a place to stay. Euan and Kirsten are such warm and hospitable hosts, it was like talking with long lost friends. Our room was cosy and very comfy with flat screen TV, hospitality tray, fluffy towels and bathroom toiletries. We had a lovely lunch in the bar on arrival and the breakfast both mornings was freshly cooked and delicious. Would have no hesitation in recommending this gem of a hotel to friends and can't wait for a reason to visit again.

Spent the last 2 nights here. Euan & Kirsten are exceptionally welcoming. The restaurant/bar staff, (Jo, Hanna & Sarah), could not have been nicer. Food great. Room spotless. And all for £45 a night, (including breakfast !). Beats anonymous city centre hotels all ends up.
