Please avoid room 203 at back of hotel small and in need of refurbishment. We did ask to be moved after seeing other rooms but were told at reception there was no rooms available. Very disappointing really! The food however is lovely and we stayed for dinner both nights. The staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Our flight was delayed so my girlfriend and I arrived close to midnight.
The nightporter was serviceminded upon our arrival and when we asked if the kitchen was still open, the answer was no.
But our Kind porter fixed it anyway and brought the meal to our room.
Great service!
We only spent one night at this hotel, but we'll be back.
The hotel has a great garden area and is situated idyllic.
Breakfast was good, both warm and cold food served.
We will come back,

booked this hotel as part of a touring holiday in Scotland, on arrival we were greeted with a warm smile by the receptionist who asked if we would like help with our luggage. the bedrooms were very large with plenty of space to sit and relax. if you want a quiet and relaxing place to spend some time in this is it. must mention breakfast it was superb this hotel gives service well above its tree star rating. will be returning again for a longer stay.

Room Tip: all room are good and the hotel has lodges in the grounds. ideal for family with children.

Visited for lunch in a group of four. Good selection of starters and main courses. All four of us were pleased with what we ordered and did not want what someone else had chosen, as is often the case! Long wait for food, both the starters and the main course but when the meals came through they were well presented and flavoursome. The prices were normal for this type of venue. I was worried the conservatory dining room would be too hot but it was well ventilated. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and looked good.

This was our 4th or 5th stay at the Huntingtower and once again they ticked all the boxes for us. Warm atmosphere, friendly & professional staff and good food. Adequate free parking and convenient for Perth city centre and the surrounding areas. The hotel was quite busy however this did not reflect on the level of service we received. We were allocated the honeymoon suite which was quite amusing when asked to provide our room number as we are great grand parents. As in any establishment or business, the staff are the ones who make it work so well done and keep up the good work. Would certainly stay there again without hesitation.

Having booked this as a surprise for my new partner, I was gutted to hear that this was where he held his father's wake after the funeral. We were visiting the hotel 2 days after the 2nd anniversary of his death, it was only 24 hours since I booked the hotel so I explained the situation but the manger said no to a refund, despite the circumstances. I then asked to be be transferred to another hotel within the group, this too was met with a NO. My partner really did not want to go because the memory was too raw but the hotel would not help.
Eventually the hotel 'manager' Jason Doga, telephoned me and offered me a refund, but sadly the day after he phoned to say he had changed his mind as he would get into trouble!! By this time we had booked another hotel for my partners birthday.
As you can imagine I complained to the MD of the Portland Hotel Group but to no avail, the 'Manager' denied all knowledge of the refund and resulted in me being called a liar, which in my book isn't right. ALL WE WANTED WAS ANOTHER HOTEL WITHIN THE GROUP!! Jason Doga, you are a disgrace to the hotel profession, call yourself a Manager??
Customer Service within this Group is non-existent - do not book with them.
I am still waiting for an apology from Mr Doga or a refund, whichever comes first.
Save your money and book elsewhere.

We visited the hotel today for lunch to celebrate a special family birthday and were delighted with the entire experience. Our waiter, Steven, was most helpful, courteous and attentive throughout and, whilst this was a first time visit with relatives from Cape Town, Stirling and Haddington, we will certainly wish to return on a regular basis with friends and family. One couple in the party had been delayed, but staff were understanding and put no pressure on us to order until we were all assembled and ready to proceed. Lunch was served in the bright and pleasant conservatory and we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal - tasty, well cooked and beautifully presented fare. The superb weather was a bonus and we were able to have dessert and coffee in the beautifully tended gardens. All agreed that the standard of food and service was excellent, with a wonderfully relaxed ambience from arrival until our departure several hours later. Our thanks in particular to Steven and to Benoit, who did everything to make our outing a truly memorable experience. We would unreservedly recommend the Huntingtower Hotel to others as a most pleasant and comfortable country hotel and as a welcome change from busy town/city centre venues, where all too often great emphasis can be placed on vacating tables as soon as possible for subsequent diners. Overall, it represented excellent value for money in relaxing, attractive surroundings and it definitely gets the thumbs up from this family, who all agreed that we would make good use of it in future as a "wee hidden gem". Very many thanks to the chef, of course, and to all the staff and we look forward to returning to the Huntingtower Hotel as soon as possible. A most special day out!
