“A lovely varied garden well worth a visit.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

Nestled into the hill overlooking Perth this is a little gem - car park is a bit of a hike (especially back the way) but has a huge variety of interesting plants well laid out and also for sale.

“Excellent garden with a bonus of tea and scone”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

Fantastic visit lots of wonderful spring flowers at different stages, we were fortunate to choose one of 2 days that they open the garden room to serve teas and coffee with scone, jam and cream for a nominal charge- delicious warm and just out of the oven. The gardens can get busy so arrive early or later in the day. Lots of areas to sit in and admire the views. There are many steps but non are very deep, many surfaces are uneven. Staff and volunteers are very helpful especially listening to a guided tour for a coach group. There is a well stocked shop stocking plants some from the garden and some National Trust gifts.

“Super visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

Took a friend after a long absence and was delighted to see the variety and quality of the plants. Blue poppies were out, and other plants equally beautiful.

“Best small garden in Britain”

Astonishing number and range of plants in a two acre site. Absolutely awesome in spring and early summer, but lovely at any time.

“Go for the Poppies”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

We were near the end of the himalayan poppy flowering season at Branklyn, and they must have been magnificent a couple of weeks earlier (a national collection). Nevertheless, the visit was very worthwhile and we spent nearly two hours there.
We walked from Perth city, over the railway bridge. The signposting to the gardens is poor, though, so when you get to the end of the bridge you should carry straight ahead and then turn left up a steep path with steps. The gardens are more or less across the road, but slightly to the right, when you reach the top of the steps. There is a path suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, but it is a lot further round.
