“A wonderful museum place to while away some time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2013

This is a lovely museum where the history of Perth is recorded in detail and has frequently changing exhibits and community exhibitions. I visit on many occasions and today, went in specifically to view the art exhibition by Outside In. It was stunning. Very though provoking and inspiring and I would be happy to hang many of them on my own wall.

In response to James N's vile comment regarding people with mental illness which somehow implies that they should not be allowed exhibition space, I find his comment not only deeply offensive but astonishingly ignorant so may I leave you with the following quote:

"Vincent Van Gogh - an artist who died age 37 years after years of painful anxiety and bouts of mental illness"

“Excellent”

Whilst this facility contains some of the items you would exact to see in a similar venue, this facility concentrates heavily on the local area and the area's relevance to the past. It has been wonderfully constructed and touches on many different aspects of past daily life. In addition some of the craft exhibits are very special and are of an extremely high quality. Easily spend a couple of hours here

“Great museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

Great museum for the size of the town. Spent so long we went out and had lunch and came back to finish. FREE. Art was of less interest to us but excellent general museum.
