“Friendly, easy going restaurant”
Reviewed 8 October 2013

We went to the Grampian for high tea one Sunday. It was my Mum's 88th birthday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu was great with a vast choice of traditional dishes. One thing I particularly liked about the menu was that several items were available in small portions - perfect since my elderly Mum is not able to eat very much at one time. All in all a lovely experience!

The staff showed us to our table and gave us the menu. Opening it was a lovely surprise. A great selection of fine starters. I had the black pudding which was awesome. The waiting staff spent time talking to the children and making them feel very much a part of the experience.
Mains were fantastic steak cooked to perfection and good sized portions. No room for a sweet but others did and I wish I had !!

Will certainly be back for some more of this great value top quality food. Good pub prices for top restaurant food.

Thanks

Stayed at this property for 4 nights during a tourist visit to the region. Used the property as a base to explore the extensive number of tourist sights. Found all staff to be very efficient and friendly. Would love to encounter similar staff at every venue. Staff were quick to suggest / confirm sights to see and provided useful tips. Room was very large and included a sitting table with 2 large comfortable chairs in addition to a king size (comfortable) bed and writing desk. Nothwithstanding the amount of furniture, there was ample area to move about. Despite the age of the property, there were not to many creaks and groans. Separate bathroom and also separate coffee making area. Quality of Breakfast and other meals quite good and costs were in accordance with other establishments in the city. Have no difficulty in recommending the property for others

We stayed here over the weekend with friends while attending the rewind festival. The lady on the reception not only made us extremely welcome but provided us with a lots of inside info and help.
The rooms where clean and very well presented and although we didn't spend a great deal of time in them where comfortable and the shower much appreciated after a long day outdoors.
The breakfast was very good and set us up nicely for our second day.
Would recommend this hotel.

We chose the Grampian as a base to attend the Rewind Festival. Location was perfect. We had a double room which was clean and comfortable. Shower had good pressure. Staff were very pleasant and because all guests were attending the festival, breakfast was delayed so that we could all benefit from a long lie. Perfect. We would definitely stay again.

Very conveniently placed within Perth. Very helpful staff and the room was spacious, clean and homely. Good breakfast and service from all. My only criticism is that the pressure on the shower head (Exec double) was extremely weak. However I would definitely be a repeat guest at the Grampian and recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant hotel experience. .

The staff on arrival were very helpful and friendly, the room was booked as a executive room sorry but somebody needs to change this to a double room, it was very dated and could do with a major refit in fact the hotel looks as if it could do with a refit, The breakfast was very good and the service excellent, would I stay at this hotel again not sure the wife did not like it also very noisey if there is a function on.

Room Tip: If you are staying here and want some peace and quiet make sure you ask if ther are any functions on...
