“Double birthday stay in August”
Reviewed 17 August 2013

A lovely stay with Dave and Kathy celebrating two birthdays. Although we have been quite regular visitors to Pitlochry over the years I'd say that Tir Aluinn was one of the best accomodation we've stayed at there. Lovely clean rooms, excellant breakfasts and attentive and friendly hosts made the stay especially pleasant.

Our only disapointment that we had only two days to stay but we'll be back

One of the best B&B's we have ever used, breakfast was fantastic, rooms were great and Dave and Kathy could not do enough for you, also a very child friendly environment.
Best recommendation that I received from one of our party was, it was like being at home.

The B&B is located nearby the centre of the village. The rooms are nice and you wish to stay longer. It's a feeling like: coming home. The breakfast is very good, especially the porridge. It's a good place to rest and relax.

We didn't book the Tir Aluinn directly - we booked via britishlinks and it was the best decision ever.

As we arrived in Pitlochry the B&B was easy to find and the carpark is big and the house looks beautiful. A big garden is attached to the house and you can sit outside and enjoy the great view up to the mountains.

Kathy and Dave are such lovely people and we felt welcome from the very first second. The provided us with everything we needed, including some british ales in the evening :-) Thanks again for this!

The rooms are more than clean, comfortable and we had enough space for our big luggage. The breakfast was great. You could choose between a typical english breakfast or more of a continental one. Because i am gluten-intolerant Kathy had even gluten-free cereals, bread, sausages.... This was so great!

Kathy and Dave provided us with tips what to see and what to do in Pitlochry.

We will come again next year and this time we will climb the Ben Vrackie up to the top ;-) Thank you, Kathy and Dave for two beautiful days in Pitlochry with a lot of fun and relaxation! Greetings from Germany, Jana

It was the first stop on our Scotland tour after we got off from the ferry in Newcastle and we enjoyed two wonderful days in Dave and Kathy's house. The room was very comfortable with a wonderful look high over the garden and the town. Breakfast is superb with a wide choice of different goodies.

In advance of our trip I had investigated a variety of B&B offers in Pitlochry through internet and I am very glad having chosen Tir Aluinn. It is close to the town centre but also very quiet and has a very reasonable price for everything (fre Wi-Fi included !!). We certainly will come back on a further trip...

Best of the ~20 b&b's I have stayed at in the UK. Super nice hosts, big clean rooms with comfortable beds and close to town center. Free Wi-Fi. All for a below average price (35 pounds/person). Do visit.

We were only able to stay in Pitlochry at Tir Aluin one night - we wished we could stay more! Kathy and Dave run a beautiful, immaculate, and very comfortable b&b. The price can't be beat, and the accommodations are exceptional. Breakfast was fantastic. The location is absolutely lovely, with great views and away from the hustle of the high street, but still within a short walking distance. We would absolutely stay here again - highly recommended!
