Stayed here for a night prior to moving to Glasgow and have to say it was without doubt the best guest house I have ever visited. Wonderfully warm and comfortable. Great views. Scrupulously clean. The hostess is charming and her breakfast, cooked to order, is not to be missed. Give yourself a treat and stay at this fantastic first rate establishment.

Stayed overnight to attend Theatre. Lovely quiet location , beautiful views to hills, Very welcoming hosts who cannot do enough for you. Lovely guest lounge with t.v. and great fire, Room was very spacious and comfortable, great black out curtains, great beds, absolutely spotlessly clean with all requirements met, down to the bottle opener! Great breakfast choices to set you up for the day ! Kathleen kindly provided earplugs and organised taxi to and from the theatre for us. Beautiful home, lovely people who went to a lot of bother to forward on property left behind. Overall, surpassed many 4 star and more expensive properties I have stayed in, in Pitlochry over many years. This will now be my first port of call when visiting Pitlochry again. Highly recommended!!

Room Tip: We were in a twin room facing the town and hills beyond, Pitlochry theatre on the horizon, beautiful...

My friend and I had a very comfortable stay. Kathleen warmly welcomed us and explained everything we wanted to know and more. The rooms were clean, big and equipped with all requirements (W-Lan, shampoo, towels, information etc)
The next morning, we got an awesome(!!!!) breakfast. Different choices of cereals, fruits, jams and yoghurt were provided, plus we had very delicious eggs, toast and tea. (She offered even more to us :-)
It was a very nice stay and I would recommend it to everyone!
We will definitively come back !

Very handy for the town centre, with plenty of parking and easy to find. Kathy and Dave were very welcoming to our group of 8 and made us feel at home. They were unobtrusive hosts, but also very knowledgeable about the area, with good suggestions on what to see and do. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with an excellent choice at breakfast. They very kindly let us leave two of our cars for a week, as we were walking back on the Rob Roy Way from Drymen and parking can be tricky in Pitlochry.

Great place, large car park. Very quiet but only a short walk to main street. Rooms large enough to spread out, decor modern and all amenities and furnishings top quality. Ensuite comfortable and clean. Friendly owners do not make you feel uncomfortable about staying in their home. Breakfast was great, lots of choices and flexible about breakfast times. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room 1, Triple room.

Tir Aluinn is a great accommodation, really well located, near both the town centre and the Moulin district. Kathy and Dave are very welcoming and helpful. Numerous brochures, including detailed hiking maps, are at the disposal of clients and Kathy was full of good advice. The client lounge is big and comfy. The room was impeccable. We'd go back anytime!

If I could give a property six stars for service it would be the well situated Tir Aluinn, just a few minutes walk from the center of town.
Kathy and Dave make you feel like family. They embody a service sense you wish was more prevalent.
Both husband and wife know the area well and are full of excellent suggestions as to where to go and how to get there. The rooms are immaculate with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.(coffee and tea pot, flat screen TV, power shower, comfy beds). The full Scottish breakfast seems enough to feed a family of four. That, coupled with the buffet and Kathy's homemade jams, will keep you fueled until late afternoon.
The pictures on both the website and on Trip Advisor are accurate.Even the room for a single was not cramped. For a restful and welcoming stay, try Tir Aluinn. You might not want to leave.
