It is true that you won't spend hours at the viewing area but it is always worth a visit if you are up in the area. We visit again and again - it is always the same view, but it different every time because of the weather. On a clear day you can see the grand Munro that is Schiehallion - you can't the miss the pyramid shaped mountain beyond Loch Tummel plus the mountains to the west of Rannoch Moor.

There has been a smooth sloping path up to the View for a long time now but it was renovated & re-routed earlier this year (not for the first time) and it appears much more wheelchair friendly now. When we visited earlier this month, visitors couldn't access the whole of the parking area because works were still ongoing but we were able to stop in the coach park area instead.

In the main holiday season, the shop and cafe are open - always worth a look in. There are plans afoot to upgrade these buildings too but I don't know when that will happen. The site is owned by the Forestry Commission.

Beautiful view, and really nice area. Don't trek a long distance to Pitlochry just for this as you will probably only spend 20 mins or so looking out over the loch. Having said that, it is a lovely spot, and well worth visiting if passing through.

Well What a VIEW, I had seen pictures but wanted to experience for myself this Magnificent view, and I was not disappointed. It is pretty spectacular and definitely a must if you are in the area. The facilities had closed for refurbishment when we got there which was a little disappointing but nevertheless we still enjoyed the stroll to one of the best views I have seen in Scotland.

Loved the view, even with the wind. The road to Queen's View is also stunning. Highly recommend, you would probably only spend 15 min there.

Amazed by how suddenly the scene could change depending on the cloud/sun. Beautiful and romantic activity on our anniversary trip.
