“Lunchtime snack”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

Went in lunch time for a light snack. Had two glasses of red wine and two plates of soup, superb soup. Nice "smiley" people behind the bar and quick service, but the price! £18 odd for two wines and two soups, a bit OTT.
Touristy area so I suppose you can expect this, maybe me that's a bit out of touch with the real world.

“may go back”

Music on certain nights.
Food was ok but pricey.
Half of the alcohol on tap was off on the night I went there.

“Australian barmen in kilts”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

Popped in for a quick pint on Friday night when staying at a local hotel. It is trying to be atmospheric with barmen in kilts but it would seem not many if any of the barstaff were locals. Definitely seemed to be a couple of accents from down under and from across the channel.
I have no objections to where my barstaf come from but dressing them up in tartan seems to defeat the object, are they no employable locals?
There was some good live music on, worth clapping away to anyway.

It always seems to be full of kids as well,

It's obviously for the tourist market so expect to pay tourist prices.

“long wait for supper”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

During a very busy period , due to the area being invaded by Scouts attending the Blair Atholl Jamboree ,and after a very long wait ,the food was really good and the waiting staff were very attentive. The head waitress even gave our family party a drink on the house for having to wait so long.We would go back at a quieter time as the food was really good.
