We were welcomed as soon as we arrived, Our rooms were lovely and clean and comfortable.
Much thought had been given to the details. My one regret is that we could only stay one night.. The breakfast was suberb. Very reasonably priced. Thankyou Peter and Margaret for being such good hosts.

We thank you so much for your lovely comments on Trip Advisor, as this is
only our 2nd season they are very much appreciated.

Hopefully you all had an enjoyable time touring Scotland and the weather was good and you had a safe journey back home.

We look forward to seeing you again sometime maybe in the future.

We did an 8 day family driving trip around Scotland with Southwood B&B being the first and definitely the best B&B we stayed in. Margaret and Peter were fabulous hosts and their recommendations for things to do, places to eat, etc were all excellent. The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable with great showers. The children especially enjoyed the spa bath!! Breakfast was relaxed and delicious. We will definitely return if we are ever near Pitclochry in the future. Highly recommended to fellow travellers.

The accomodation here was excellent in every way. It was relaxing, calm, quiet, very clean and most comfortable. The bedroom was very spacious with a huge walk-in wardrobe, and the bathroom was large with an excellent shower.
The owners were welcoming and food at breakfast was very good.
It was just out of Pitlochry, far enough to be away from the town but near enough for the theatre and shops etc. -a 5min. drive. A good find!

We stayed at Southwood last year and made a return visit this year with our family. It was great to see both Margaret and Peter again and they are excellent hosts. The care and attention to detail is second to none! We really enjoyed the relaxing and welcoming atmosphere in the house. The bedrooms are exceptionally clean and the breakfasts are brilliant, especially the Scottish fryup! We cannot rate this Bed and Breakfast highly enough and hope to return at some point!

The proprietors were extremely pleasant and attentive. This B & B is a wing in a private home. It was a great place for our two families to stay. At breakfast, our every need and desire was met and I especially liked that some of the fruit came from the garden of the homeowner. The room with the hall bathroom has a bathroom bigger than the room. I tried to use the jacuzzi but the jets never turned on. The only drawback for me was that I am supersensitive to smoking and I kept getting whiffs of it. I would stay here again. There is a fantastic restaurant right next door with an upscale pub.

Room Tip: If you can get the back bedroom, that would be the best as you have more privacy and room to move ar...

We stayed at the Southwood for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon in Scotland. It was the best b&b that we stayed in for all the 3 weeks of our holiday. Margaret and Peter made us feel at home and they were amazing with us. She even gave us a bottle of champagne since we were on honeymoon and in the room every day she used to put 2 small packets of juices and they were very tasty not to forget the tea/coffee tray with very tasty biscuits.

We stayed in room 1 and it is very beautiful and spacious. The shower is very very big and was always very very clean, it was all we needed after a day out exploring. Room 1 has a very large walk in wardrobe and it was very good for us since we had quite big luggages for our long holiday, also we had the most comfortable bed that we ever slept in. And the view of the garden from the room in very nice as well.Margaret was very helpful in giving us tips about Pitlochry and Pertshire and the sights that she told us about were all worth it.

The breakfast was beautiful and freshly made while we took our cereal. She even gave us haggis and black pudding to taste since we never had them before :)

We just didn't want to leave the Southwood b&b and we just wished we stayed for longer.

Thank you Margaret and Peter for make us feel at home.
